It was pretty even, IMO, and I believe we ended the evening 4-4....with no districts flipped...but someone please correct me I'm wrong as it was a long day of battles I must admit being more than a bit inebriated at the end of the evening....lol.
The first two battles -- one attack and one defense -- were at the same time. We split the first two rounds -- the team of 12 ML + 4 friends won the attack (against a team of 3 ToP, plus members of PE, KeQ, R*, RG, RND, etc.) and MuLa who was fighting on our behalf, lost the first round of defense (I was not in that round, but was told it was almost completely ToP). The ML team took over the defense re-attack...and the combined ML/MuLa/FA/Derrith team won that round against ToP. The score was 2-1 after the first round of battles with each team successfully defending their districts.
We then skipped a KEQ battle (sorry guys!) that was scheduled in between, ate dinner, and chilled a bit while we went over strategy...and kicked Bigdaddt69 and his alts from our PC chat/corp after an attempted AWOX / spying episode (Kardia, Were you aware / is this really necessary?).
An hour later, the battles started again... A team of 10 ML & friends beat a team of 14 ToP & friends in a defense, making the evening's tally 3-1. The next defense was very similar -- with a team of 9 ML & friends beating a team of 14 ToP, with ML taking a 4-1 lead.
During that 2nd defense, we had another battle, and ML lost. I was not in this one and I don't have the details of this battle -- perhaps someone reading this who was in that one can fill in the details of this attack -- but the net-net is that we went to 4-2 for the evening.
The next battle, another ML attack, and I believe the closest round of the evening, was fought...and ToP took that nail-biter of a round. To be honest, I'm still scratching my head on how we lost that one...the only explanation offered had something to do with the order in which missiles are sent from the letters. Hats off to ToP on that one for taking the win, and after the dust settled, ML still led for the evening 4-3.
The last battle of the evening was the soundest we got beat all evening. Not making any excuses, because it's totally our fault, but planning a strategy for one map only to have the round start and see another map makes for a challenging round (d'oh). We were unable to overcome that (and Sota's murder rail tank / HMG combo causing havoc on the outside) and ToP took the round fairly handily....and evening the night's score to 4-4.
Overall, there were lots of great battles and we went back and forth with most all round being close. It was a blast, but I have to admit being a bit tired and rather wasted after 6+ hours of PCs.
Thanks to all that participated, that was a lot of fun!....Leadfoot
p.s. I have screenshots of all the rounds I was in (except the last one) if anyone's interested.... |

All you have to do is ask, Kardia.
For me at least, the straight up 16v16 corp battles are the most fun, and, as you know, we are amenable to these types of requests. |

Kardia or sota care to explain? I'm at work lol I don't like missing in game **** As you know, the current state of PC is recovery, so any actual 'wars' are more like just many skirmishes, so yes, it is embellished somewhat. But hostility between ML and ToP seem to be rising. It'll likely break out into full scale war, eventually if things don't cool down. As for Random Guns - It's sort of the same situation, but I'm not as clued in on it. It seems several of our leadership is upset with them - and there leadership with us. Over why - I do not know. Thank you for clarifying. Says won't be there for pc has "work" then shows up for the first xD I worked from Wednesday 7 am till Thursday 4 pm. Straight. So when the attacks went off Solar I was not there there. But I did make it in time for the battles. Never did I say I wouldn't be. Just that I wasn't there for or had any knowledge of the attacks.
FWIW, I can confirm this is the truth. Roman was not in the loop, but did assist yesterday afternoon when asked (and thanks Roman and MuLa!).

I don't think it was a "war" in anyone's eyes...except perhaps our favorite pot-stirrer. It certainly wasn't viewed as such in our eyes. |

Next time, we'll be ready for you and your tank. I suppose we should have been given your opening post in this thread -- alas you caught us off guard and wreaked havoc on the outside bridge points. Regardless, good stuff last night -- it was a blast. |

Regardless, good stuff last night -- it was a blast. I don't tank like anyone else in this game, you'll be needing 2 tanks of your own if you want my massacre with a rail to stop. I don't understand why people use blasters, Rail + HMG is much, much, much more effective, especially in a suit repping for 50 a second. :D But that's just one way I've discovered tanks can be used as - next round I'll show you guys another. Starting to think Tankers are just lazy - there's so many things they can do to hold and take a point that has nothing to do with the tank itself.
It won't take two tanks -- taking nothing away from your skills -- but from what I saw last night you wouldn't have handled even one good tanker....but perhaps I'm missing something (wouldn't be the first time).
Regardless, I'm looking forward to whatever other tricks you have up your sleeve -- I really enjoy the dynamic of move/counter....and you've made the first move, no doubt. Now it's up to us to counter and be ready....and I like our chances....but I suppose we shall see.
Alas, I won't be on for this evening's battle to see how the second iteration goes. Good luck to all who participate. |

SoTa PoP wrote:nah, I'll **** your tankers. That 1v1 tournament is comin' up, make sure they sign up so you can see how bad they are, lol.
If you seriously think using a tank like a murder taxi because you had no tanks on your side allowing me freedom to do what I want showed you anything - then you are very full of yourself and w/e corp mate you're speaking for.
But it's cool - I understand, I don't even think I'm a good tanker tbh, the rest of you are just that bad, lol.
You're right. You're not that good of a tanker. Unfortunately, that's about all I agree with in your post.
Good luck tonight -- sorry I can't be there to see it myself -- but please be sure to report back what happens...Leadfoot |

It's easy to have fun and keep morale high when you're winning.
It's not so easy when the tables are turned and the defections start to add up....

What happened? It's a bit tough to ready between the lines....and I've not yet had a chance to catch up with the guys. |
