This has to be a troll proposal. Nonetheless, it is a nerf proposal. I didn't think it was possible for the caldari assault to have an even worse bonus.
You want the cal assault to assault from 250m+? And be even less effective with the rail rifles? |

You want the cal assault to assault from 250m+? And be even less effective with the rail rifles? How would it be worse? This would allow them to keep the beastly Bolt Action pistol at its prime, it would make the Sniper Rifle easier to use in an instant, the Rail Rifle would get a buff to recoil and the MagSec would get a buff to damage. Also only the Caldari Assault would get to use these weapons to their full effect. If you think any of this is a troll then you probably didn't read past the first paragraph. You want to add sway to a rifle.

It already has sway, all guns in Dust do. I want to have the sway for rail based weaponry increased so that only the Caldari Assault can use them to their full potential. That way other suits are penalized for running the weapons just like non Amarr Assault suits are penalized for running Scrambler Rifles. I know all guns have sway, I meant emphasis on add, as in more. The sway is so minimal on all rifles, adding 30% sway to the RR then negating it with the bonus would make the RR extremely harder to use on other suits.
But all suits are decent with the ARR and RR right now, in fact the amarr and gal assault are better with it than cal assault if they're stacking damage mods. A recoil reduction and/or charge up reduction bonus will remove the more crippling features of the rail rifles from the cal assault and leave other suits to deal with it. |

this, 5% reduced charge up time per level is a way better bonus than what the OP suggested. Yes, maybe even 10% per level. Why not? |

Please skill into reading comprehension. The RR would get a buff and a nerf, but the new skill of the Caldari Assault would counteract the nerf. So basically the Caldari Assault would get to have its cake and eat it too. I read what you said clearly, what do you think I don't understand? Why would you want to factor in more sway to rail weaponry? The RR does not need a buff nor additional sway, the cal assault needs to be able to achieve a better applied DPS with a recoil and/or charge up reduction bonus. |

Then there is basically no reason for the charge up and improving the recoil would not be viable any more because it would make the RR OP. You could say that for the amarr assault and the ScrR too - basically no reason for heat build up if you can fire over 90% of the clip without overheating. The RR would not be OP with a small % of both bonuses. |
