It took a while to get a new one by that time i had completely forgotten about it. But, my new PS3 slim came with a code for Dust, and 10k? AUR. So ive been playing ever since. That was around 1.4ish. Introduced to scout community in 1.5. Usually my scout introduction included a shotgun blast to the side/knife. Then it became a mini rivalry between us, usually ended not well. So thats how i got here. Plus it was FREE! Short story on how you got here? Kids get old enough to care about video games. Get a used PS3 for them to play Skylanders on. Bonus is that I can play DUST finally. Don't know where DUST is at in development. Is it official release yet? Nope. DUST is one month from Uprising. Predictions about DUST slowly become true. Waiting to either applaud CCP for wising up and making good on their endeavor or laughing maniacally as they burn. I'm better than laser focused; I'm hybrid focused.

I start lurking forums and I joined Maphia Clan before even having the game. After a couple of years Mag starts dying and everyone is talking about Dust, that will have 514 players in a single match (lol) The 22 january of 2013 Dust is finally in open beta so I can download it. As soon ad I joined the game I got an invite by my old friends of Maphia that explained me everything I needed to know.... One of the few assaults you'll find in a PC match!

Was supposed to have 64 player battles, have 8 vehicle types at launch (and 10 total later), player commanders that pilot the MCCs, and player-deployed installations. Obviously none of those promises were met, and were replaced by different promises that were also never met (MTAC mechs, exotic planet types like lava, PVE against rogue drones). Started playing after Fanfest 2012 when I received a closed beta code, the game was crappy in many ways, but I knew it was still a work in progress, and I liked many things about it (large maps, scifi, high HP, lots of hipfire, fitting customization). MAG had spoiled me with not only large scale battles involving 64-256 player battles, but also interesting and non-generic attack/defend modes. The original version of Skirmish (AKA Skirmish 1.0) gave me hope for the game because felt like a game mode from MAG, it had multiple stages, and it was attack/defend, but sadly it was scrapped. But the PS3 came with an LAV BPO, AUR, and of course the game (and some HK4M shotties and 1.5d myofibs) Started in late Chromo as a sniper, as it had fun play/counter play back then and snipers wore scount suits. Went through all the newb stories, like thinking supply depots gave me moar weapons, and that I could damage the MCC with the Rail turrets. Then fell in love with the scrambler rifle through that cool uprising trailer and the fact that it was essentially a big Scp (which I was also fond of, my golden KLOs). Then, I fell in love with the Minja through the use of the militia variant, eventually skilling into the Proto version (though I almost never used, as I almost never use Proto unless feeling particularly good and YoLo mode). This was the era that I joined Scouts United, a great era for sure. The feeling that you were one of very few successful scouts was very special, and the chivalry back then was great. Then came the Buff. It changed everything, eventually leading me to a life of combating the OP with the UP, bringing me to a totally unviable play style that I made work: the speed tanked Amarr assault with PLC and Flaylock, a niche that is unniche because I can kill anything, with exception of drop ships, effectively. Recently, I'm sure some of you know I'm revisiting my roots as a Minja, so there's the era to come. What will it bring? Gavr1lo Pr1nc1p Fatal Absolution General Tso's Alliance 3529	Posted - 2015.01.14 02:47:00 - [16] - Quote CoD MW got really boring after a while, as it was too easy, and there was 0 complexity to it at all, and little to no customization. So I went onto the PSN store, saw an ad for this game, and decided to try it. Played academy, stomped nubs, and thought wow, this is actually kinda cool. The graphics are great, and the way the game plays is very very awesome. While a lot of the mysticism that originally brought me to this game has been lost, I still find it to be a very fun game to play. Ill never forget my first match either: 23-11 on a rings (PC) map with a bright sandy mood, and I was in an Amarr suit that I actually made myself, with a Gek-38. At 3 mil SP, I was very bad, had no idea what I was doing, and wanted to use a scout suit with knives. So, I created Gavr1lo Pr1nc1p, and fell in love with going 1-16 every match running at people like a mad man with Zn-28's. Eventually, I joined a squad of good players that I found in the war barge , with a guy named r92cp in it, who became my first friend in the game. I got invited to the DIOS Friends chat channel, and began to squad with other players who were in DIOS Ex and G I A N T, and other similar corps. From one of these people, I heard about some cool changes that would be coming up for the game (1.6), and wondered where I could find them. Naturally, he told me to look in the forums, which I did, and from there found out about the scouts united and dev hangout chat channels, where I met several more people who I squared with on a regular basis. It was around this point where I became so aggravated with knives because this one guy from What the French had been shotgunning me in a min light frame mk.0 the entire match, and I couldn't touch him with the knives, that I made a militia shotgun fit and proceeded to go barely positive for the first time ever in a non-academy match. It was around this time that I met Borm1rir, Lightning and a few other amazing minmitar scouts who I asked for shotgunning tips, and they responded by squading up with me. Eventually, I got the scout mk.0, and kin cats and shield extenders to proto, and put together my very first proto fit, right before 1.8 came out. Once 1.8 hit, I believe I was recruited by Borm1rir to join the miserable fail of Last of Dust (the AE and FA fusion), and played my first ever PC, where I guarded home point against Escrow, and went 9-3. Once Last of Dust broke down, I transferred to FA with everyone else, and have been with them for more than 7 months now. "Minja" and "Masochist" are synonyms. FA's Shotgunning T-Dome Champ I piss Remote Explosives and shit Shotgun shells.
