Pointless to ask about it, because as per statements from certain members of the CPM, actual gameplay fixes are very low on the priority list for CCP, more aur items are where it's at.
Even more pointless to ask about it here, as no one employed by CCP actually reads these.
But as I am stuck in a slideshow, I thought I might as well do something to entertain myself.
Have you considered installing the improved keyboard?

I ask the same question.
Came back and started playing again only to put up with 7-8 FPS half the time in pubs and even less in PC.
I don't care how much "cool" stuff you add CCP, your game runs like crap.

Totally agree.
I get random urges every few weeks to play some DUST. I played last night and couldn't even finish my second match before turning off the PS3 because the absolutely abysmal framerate was giving me a headache.
I love your game CCP. Thing is, it doesn't matter if you have the most amazing gameplay, if that sh-t is running at 15 FPS every time I play it I won't ever touch it. Ever since 1.09 performance has just gone downhill. Framerates are awful making more an awful experience.

Hardware issue, not server issue. I have had lag very rarely after getting a solid state drive. The meat grinder is the only one that causes lag, and that is a slight stuttering a couple times a match. Nothing like the slideshows I used to have on the same setup with the old drive. |

100% correct I 've also replaced my hdd with an ssd and it felt like i bought another console framewise :D But still I get some lag once in a while, CCP has to redisign the game so it can run on a normal ps3. Zaria +1 xD

I am happy for you, if installing an SSD solved all the issues for you. I have heard that before, from some people. I have also heard some people with SSDs complain about framerate drops. So... yeah.
Even if modifying one's PS3 was the magical fix to this problem some claim it to be, it is entirely irrelevant. They released the game for the PS3, it needs to work on the PS3. As is, without modifications. Isn't that supposed the biggest convenience of console gaming over PC? That once you have the system, you aren't expected to keep upgrading it to run the games released for that system...

How long have you had your ps3? If it's still got the stock HDD, there's a chance your drive has slowed to the point that some games are going to have issues loading.
I would normally say "it's all CCP's fault, they suck..." But most battles are a good framerate for me. Especially since the last client patch.
I don't have a SSD, just a 7400rpm mechanical drive. |
