A Prototype Bolt Pistol does 1.5 more damage than a Prototype Ishukone Sniper rifle and has a better fire rate.
Either the sniper is underpowerd or the bolt is overpowerd.
Snipers asked "CCP why can't we have crosshairs??" and CCP replied "because that would be OP" but why the bolt pistol then?
It legitimately is a CQC no-scope sniper that does crazy head shot damage. So this isn't OP?
Also, I know the sniper has like 8x better range but still in a size to damage comparison, I would still expect more from a Sniper but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... That would be OP!
Here's the catch. The bolt pistol is about the size of a banana but the sniper rifle is a meter long...
IRL comparison, what if a Desert Eagle was doing the same amount of damage as a Beretta 50 Cal?
Buff sniper damage and nerf Bolt pistol damage.

Yea bolt pistol is crazy. There should be no way it should be doing the damage it is. It literally is a better sniper than the sniper rifle.

Yea bolt pistols dont make sence they should be a one or two shot like the breach shotgun. Or less damage with 3 shots max.

3. This is a comparison between the Sidearm and Light weapon of the same kind. The Sniper Rifles equivalent in a Sidearm is a Bolt pistol just like Combat Rifle is to SMG and Magsec is to Railgun and Flaylock is to Mass driver.
The Sidearm weapon is much superior/too good compared to the Primary weapon.

I presented the evidence but just encase you require more- here- a Bolt Pistol at Proto has 134 RoF and 251.5 damage with a .48 second start up charge compared to a Ishukone Sniper which does 250 damage and has RoF of 50.
Anyway- It is just wrong that a pistol is out preforming it's equivalent in a Primary weapon.

You're comparing a precision damage rewarding sidearm, arguably the best in class, against an under (if not un)performing niche weapon on one data set, raw damage output.
If you're going to whine about the BP, compare it to the OTHER PISTOLS.
And/or BUFF the sniper to make it perform adequately.

2.) There are pistols IRL that pack more punch than a .50, a .900 Nitro Express for example.
3.) Modern Tank turrets are typically 120mm, not 150mm.
4.) A handheld TOW missile absolutely outclasses a 120mm tank shell.

Generally speaking Sniper do more damage than Pistols.
Also, I didn't mean to put the tank part in, I was just taking about artillery guns.
Also, A TOW missile vs Artillery Gun is more of a Equal vs Equal. I was going off inferior vs superior. Superior- Artillery gun vs inferior(size and damage wise) RPG.

How about we also make bolt pistols auto locking and do 9999 damage per shot always head shotting with unlimited ammo and range. We should also make it so that if somebody spawns with a bolt pistol, every one on enemy team dies instantly . Happy?
