I agree with these two but for me when I was a pilot I focused on what gave me the most initial benefit first and for me it was the engine core calibrations and core grid , they give you speed and strength on the mod side and the recharge rates of mods is necessary , I focused on armor repair systems and shield regen because with those well invested , you could put a minimum into your tank as far as mod wise and still get the most out of the performance for the investment until you could skill up in other areas .
Keep a scanner , I never maxed mine out but since they changed the performance of the vehicle scanners , you will need that to see proxies ( which I loved to use before BW ) and troops who would be swarming , also good for detecting scouts who lay explosives on your vehicles . I didn't have too many vehicle fits that didn't include a scanner on them .
The core gives you time and the ability to have longevity on the field until you can catch up in other areas on the vehicle tree .
Pick a small turret and try to max it out but be wise in this selection , I would pick the most effective to me and that's your preference but extra guns on your vehicles won't hurt if you have gunners who care about what their doing .
Keep moving like suggested because you stop and you give players like myself time to respond to your efforts .
Try to max out armor first and I say that because it's just in a weak spot now and the extra weight / ability to fit armor hardeners always helps on a Gunnlogi and you will need the buffer for your Maddy .
I use to try to max my defense but I did have my damage mods maxed with the fittings as well and while this helps , the damage that you would take from opposing vehicles and troops equipped with forges and swarms , would cause one to focus on what could give your tank better survivability on the battlefield .
I would go for a small turret before taking on the larger ones but again that's just me .
Find people willing to gun for you and keep them friends because you will need it and most jump out at the first sign of trouble and the spend your ammo shooting at the ground and everything but the enemy , so find you some support ... people who would treat your vehicle with respect and like it's theirs .
What areas in the vehicle tree are your SP's in ???
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .
