All squad members should be able to 'Ping' a certain location on the map.
It would be done the same way squad leaders give attack orders.
The ping would be basically be used as a "look here" option, and only last for 3 seconds.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

Simple, inter-squad, non-verbal communication. I like it! How do you propose it operates? Assuming from the original post, weapon/command wheel?

I had the command wheel in mind... however I think there is still an un-used D-pad button in Dust. That could also work.

Command wheel has always been clumsy. Shouldn't be difficult to make it so that if Push to Talk is turned off, tap D-left to scroll through orders for squad leads or temporary "pings" for non-SLs.

Specifically all squad members should have the Attack and Rally squad orders, but non squad leaders should have their orders show in a color other than Red, and have no effect on WP.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Left = Push to talk
Up = Team Lists
Right = Off map support
Down = Map
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

I think you miss-read the original post. That was not what he meant by "Ping" in this case.

Great idea. The command wheel needs some work anyway and this would be a great feature to add in. I wish it were a d-pad button instead of the current awkward wheel. Something easy to press when an enemy is in your sights to mark them, sort of like in battlefield. |

There have been multiple times, when i've forgotten that i'm not squad lead and have tried to put a rally point down for things, this would be perfect.
