Thanks to Saxonmish youtube video I had and idea of bring back the old days of Death Racing but at the same time im thinking of the rules but I have the rewards all setup.
1st place: get a PSN Card 
2nd places : 5million ISk
3nd place : 750k ISk
I many need some time to think more the rules but if your guys have ideas about this event don't be afraid to tell me.

I'm in for the racing part of it. Prices are extra.
Anywho, rules depend on whether you want a PvP race or PvE (the most common one). PvP races tend to be with 2 squads: 6 drivers, 6 gunners. Go to PC or FW and try to take out the other drivers while completing the course. PvE is the same thing, but it's without the friendly fire part, so you only have to worry about reds (which allows you to race in a pub match).
For rules, you could show the team a lap around the track, tell them how many laps must be competed, and what are the penalties for going off-track or dying. Usually, it's starting out at the last checkpoint (which is established by the team as a whole. Maximum 3 checkpoints other than the start position). At least, this is how I use to manage them back in the day.
I had a channel made for it too called LAV Racing, I think. It's been a long time and I haven't used it since, so I could be wrong, and it's probably deserted.
Anyways, the penalties I had were starting at the last available checkpoint if off-track, 2 checkpoints back if destroyed. We, also, used to have an extra player (making a total of 13 players) manage the finish line and providing LAVs (since no one had a BPO LAV at the time) by the time the driver and gunner respawn. Usually, the referee would be in a Python and if someone blows up, they go to the MCC, drop an LAV, and get back to the race track. |
