I understand that it is still very early in beta, but it has been pretty evident that the DUST/EVE link will take place in null sec. That has pretty much been a given. But in the interest of my EVE experience first and foremost, will the DUST/EVE link be evident in faction warfare? I pretty much am, and always will be a Caldari State Militia member, with a corp in militia in EVE. With the new changes to "sov" with Faction Warfare in EVE, and the system infrastructure changes for captured systems, couldn't vying for resources for our given "faction" on FW planets be another viable option for DUST players to enjoy?
Which brings me to another question. If there are plans for a FW link, will DUST players gain LP to feed into the infrastructure of a captured system? Will there be LP markets in DUST? Will my allied indy corp be able to have DUST industrialist characters?
I get that right now we are focusing on game mechanics in this very early beta. But some of us EVE players from places other than null-sec would like to know the future that DUST could hold for our EVE professions. |

Pretty sure FW is the cornerstone of DUST/EVE interaction. Mercs in nullsec is still a long way away. |

Who knows. DUST is still in the stage of making sure the hamsters get fed. Can't say for sure, but FW is surely going to be the test bed for Sov 3.0. I'm figuring that the FW/DUST link is the testbed for the DUST 0.0 link. Plague you guys with it before you drop a Fbomb on Sov holding alliances.

they said dust would work with FW at fanfest. but i have a feeling there will be little or no integration at launch.
they also said something about eve players betting on the outcome of dust battles, which is what i think the beta has now, "battle moon" sounds like an arena for gladiators of he future ( dust mercs) |

FW needs to be in at launch and be meaningful ppl bought into the DUST hype for meaningful battles not pubbin all day
the betting thing u speak of is coming in early 2013 for the gladiator arena eSports themed expansion which would have live viewing and betting on matches by both EVE and DUST mercs. |

i'll have to do some digging later, but i'm pretty sure the eve/dust link was supposed to start w/ FW then eventually move it's way to null |

I'll take what we can get now.
Ideally I'd like to see DUST so seamless, that you dock in Eve, step into the captain's quarters, (or jump into a combat-clone for those of us with billions in implants) suit up... and then smoke out that little toe-rag who refuses to Undock on your PS3.
I've wondered what a CONCORD response would look like inside a Station.... Would a walk through Jita 4-4 involve avoiding Suicide Knife gangs walking the plaza with scanning goggles?
CCP's been slow, but they've generally done right by us so far. Free expansions, Semi-free game with Game time for In-game currency...
I'm enthused for what we see for now, hopefully CCP doesn't let the connection between the two stagnate. |

It sure as heck would make it easier to get rid of a red that stays docked up when you take a station. Get a couple corp members, walk down to said Red's CQ, breach the door, toss a few frags in and clear the room. . .and here I wanted to throw them out the undock sans noob ship and pod before. . .
"Clear!" "Clear!" BLAM BLAM BLAM "Real clear."
To be honest I'd like that level of seamlessness like in the Fanfest 2011 video. I think cannon wise it wouldn't work and would have to be retconned. I'll settled for the minigames like in the first iteration of WiS. I want to play space baccarat like a spaceship James Bond. |

FW will be launched in 2012.
cf here => http://www.dust514-france.fr/dust514-france-interview-ccp_jian
Also, FW won't be limited to null-sec spaces. It was said in the seeding the universe conference that there would even be mission linked with FW in high-sec spaces through NPC corp.
Now, how it will work exactly with FW sov. that we don't know. I guess it will involve the Surface Command Center they mentionned in that conference. Taking those on the different planets of the system would give a boost to your faction's sov on the system.
Haven't had the chance to do proper FW on Eve yet. So i won't go any further ^^ |
