The turret installations need to be reworked completely. Their AI is either useless or targets one vehicle only for the rest of the match.

In my opinion they shouldn't auto-target anything unless provoked, meaning that you have to actually use it if you want to reap the benefits of it's existence.

I don't understand your train of thought
Tankers destroy installations because infantry don't care enough to keep them blue and therefore are a threat
if installations target infantry, maybe they would care enough to ensure they aren't turned as easily |

Maybe is infantry were competent enough to capture them and understand their importance on the field with their own vehicles we wouldn't have to.
But in this instance even 2 years down the road an infantry player cannot do the smart thing and capture a damned turret.

I wish Turrets could auto attack anything over a certain scan profile.
In addition to that id like Turrets to be player called assets.
I feel turrets need a overhaul in general, and it needs to be more of a threat and player based.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

No, the answer is to put that damn choice on the options menu to good use. You know, the one under Off Map Support? And add some Goddam* racial parity, including artillery to make this game officially finished.
I don't know about you non-EVE console players, but this game is never finished until we have all four races represented on everyhing including some muthaf*ckin' Khanid sh*t.

Which isn't such a big problem for me since all I play is FW, I understand the viewpoint of vehicles specialist, I just think it'll add a new level of "team play".

What I would do:
Blue turrets target all red.
Red turrets target all blue.
Neutral turrets target everything.
I think turrets should be made impossible to ignore.
Turrets do not target scouts.
This way scouts have to clear a path for vehicles and infantry.
This pushes scouts into a more scout like role.
Increase the amount of turrets by just moving turrets out of the redline and concentrate them more centrally on the map.
Turrets cannot be manned. The hacker of the turret gets kills added, but at assist points.
