Imagine if before you deployed for battle you were able to sign a contract with the corporation hiring you. It would basically say that either you win the battle for them and get 1.65x your earnings or lose and get nothing.
High risk = High reward
Optional of course.

Optional of course. I like the idea, the problem being with the current no matchmaking the win multiplier would have to be higher maybe 1.85 or even 2. And it would make pubstomping more prevalent.

Only in a world without "high latency" players, and this game gives them both lag damage proofing and better hit detection. |

I would love to see the mercenary aspect of this game more highly reenforced.
Would also make more players try instead of giving up after the initial push.
I love the idea.

I would like to see this mentality deployed in FW actually, and relate to the racial suits/weapons. This could either be optional like you say, or as a dedicated type of FW battle where one side is 100% matching the side they play for - invalidating suits or weapons from other races for that battle only. Of course to do this, we need racial parity in vehicles and weapons first...

This doesn't have anything to do with the OPs suggestion and is also a bad idea. There's no precedent in eve and it breaks the current convention of customization. It wouldn't add any depth to FW at all. |

Optional of course. I would prefer something objective based, not broad sweeping.
Bonus if: -x amount of WP -x amount of kills -x amount of hacks -x amount of vehicles destroyed
Choose one,then...
Reward - 1.50 from 1
Failing a Bonus objective - .5 from 1
Then objectives could be tiered.
Lv2 you get 0 ISK Lv3 you actually pay ISK as a penalty
Loot rewarded can be added at higher levels, the higher the tier the rarer the item.
And no '???' items. The description could be fully readable to see if the person actually wants it.
However,'???' items can be added to the known reward for surpassing your goal.

That's basically daily missions. Your suggestion isn't even slightly similar to mine.
My idea either rewards the player highly or punishes them ruthlessly.

Three things:
1. I'm a 7 year Eve vet.
2. Dust is not Eve.
3. There is a lot of other differences between FW in Dust and Eve - plexes/PvE as a prime example
I see no reason we can't implement this here as an option - but you're right in that it wouldn't work for Eve as the mechanics there don't support this, and neither does the lore. Think about it - in Eve, you're part of the militia, meaning citizen soldier (you or not formal soldiers and you are not paid mercenaries - you volunteer so you can bring what you want to the party. There is no militia in Dust - we are hired mercenaries. There is no lore reason that says that as hired mercenaries we have an exclusivity clause about the gear used.
EDIT: And this idea is based on the OP, so yes it is related. I also said I don't like the idea of this happening in public matches and offered another way to introduce the mechanic he suggested.

My point stands. Restricting what gear you can wear in FW would add nothing to the game.
