after fourteen or so years, and it was even better this time around. If you have time and access to Netflix, give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

I remember watching that in my youth. Nothing on TV and I was like "oh its that guy that got arrested for moving coke across the states and home improvement" and immediately thought it would suck.
But I kept watching it and I found myself cracking up.

A great spoof... It was actually voted a better star trek film than into darkness by fans lol.

I re-watched it the other day. Thought is was much better than I remember being when I was younger. I have watched it like three more times since.

I watch it routinely. I have it on DVD and on Apple TV. Didn't think they'd ever put it on Netflix. Took long enough. Figured that be one of the movies they try to keep making money off of for being such a classic.
"Did you guys ever watch the show?" Lol, Sam Rockwell.
If you like Galaxy Quest watch Gentlemen Broncos. Sam Rockwell is funny as hell.

Love this movie - I worked in forbidden planet on oxford street in the 90's and met quite a few actors from sci fi flicks doing signings and the like. They really hit the nail on the head in Galaxy Quest!

Got it on Blu-ray. Every so often, you just have to watch it again.

The fact that this movie had Alan Rickman in it made it for me. His disdain for everything Galaxy Quest in the first half of the movie makes me so happy.

Funny movie and good sci-fi action... Agree that Rickman and Rockwell were great, thought the whole cast was great actually and this was the first time i ever lusted after Sigourney Weaver- never realized she had such an awesome rack...
The Fifth Element is a lot of fun too- Bruce Willis as his normal terrific action self but Gary Oldman was an excellent antagonist... And Milla Jovovich- I have had unclean thoughts about her ever since... Any movie with reasonable production values that features nice ******* gets my vote...
Howsabout The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? The debbie-downer robot character Marvin (voiced by Rickman) was funny as hell! And Zooey Deschanel- hubba-hubba! Alas, no exposed knockers here...
I know Galaxy Quest was reco'd because it was available on Netflix but these other two movies are a lot of fun too...
Be just and if you can't be just be arbitrary.
