Unfortunately, the scout nerf still still does'nt prevent them from camping by a CRU w/ their cloak engaged, poppin off blues left and right and taking first on the leaderboard. Seems scouts that can't play well w/the new changes have found away. And everbody wants to nerf heavies, what a joke.

I do, I was fighting on high ground w/RR and would notice my blues trying to hack a CRU, but they would dissappear once threre. I did'nt have visual behind the CRU. So I went over there and swept the area, nothing. Then hack n killed. So I repeated step 1, nothing, go to hack and hear him decloaking, go to turn and he's coming out of a cloak sure enough.

A lone merc won't be able to scan a CRU effectively. You need a buddy. Or you can spam some mass drivers around the area.
I like the way you think.. Hear this scouts.... if you camp a CRU I'm going to wreck you...

Don't spawn at a CRU? Anyone that plays this game for longer then a week learns that the spawn mechanics suck... and are extremely unforgiving.. Spawning on a CRU without a significant amount of team mates around is like rolling the dice with death. Spawning on an objective no matter how long you have held it... without significant amount of team mates or direct communication from a squad... Is rolling the dice with Death. Spawning on an Uplink again without previously stated circumstances is rolling the dice with Death. Spawning in a Dropship with the way they work now means certain death. Best to fit LAV's and factor the cost into your budget while running a heavy suit solo... You can spawn safetly in certain areas in the red-line then move from there... Otherwise join a squad with a logistics and ask them to run spawn pads and ofcourse keep an eye on them. Think you misunderstand me. I know all this. I needed to hack a CRU in a Dom match, so the enemy WOULD'NT spawn there and have us surrounded. The only thing I could have done was scan the area but I neglected that. Lastly.... Make an scout alt... Try out the cloak... Learn how your hard counter to your preferred playstyle works... The disadvantages to running the cloak... The Shotgun... Maybe even nova knives? Knowledge is power in DUST.... The more you know of the game and how to counter what you are facing... The more you gain the advantage on your opponents on the battlefield.. It would of definitely given you a competitive chance in this circumstance.

Sorry about that Bethhy, technical difficulties lol. Your thinking the wrong CRU. If you want, you can read a little further back in the thread, it should clear that up.

Agreed, but if I find out a cloaked scout camping at a CRU popping my teammates in the back as they attempt to hack it, prepare to get wrecked

You would complain if i did it to you with my assault, but then it would be a core mechanics problem versus a suit problem.
the only issue I have is the cloak camping, but truly, im not a whiner, cause I know there's a counter to everything in the game. just found it slightly distasteful and nothing more

PS: A Scout must decloak before he can attack, and decloaking akes a full two seconds.
Like 2 whole seconds? daaammmnnn
