The CSM9 has given us a few examples of how CCP handles these situations this year.
For the first departure from CSM9, CCP simply elected to take the highest voted candidate on the list who was not elected and make them a CSM, without recalculating the votes.
For the second departure from CSM9, CCP chose instead to re-run the election script with the two departed CSM removed from the running, which redistributed the votes somewhat according to the Wright-STV system. This was probably slightly more fair than the first action, as it better represents the will of those whose votes counted towards the departed CSM members.
They also announced that should a third CSM9 depart during the term, they would simply have one less member on the CSM, as it was sufficiently through the term that it would not be productive to try and integrate additional newcomers.
I do not think, therefore, there is much any chance you can expect CCP to run a midterm vote. In actuality, given we've been seated for six months already, I would guess that should a change in the CPM roster occur, the seat would simply remain vacant until the next election.
EDIT: Vote Pokey Dravon for CPM2.

Sorry, CPM1 is a very manly Council. I am the least manly member of the group. And I'm still not a girl, even if the people on the phone can't tell the difference.

Cross Atu, Iron Wolf Saber, Judge Rhadamanthus, Kevall Longstride (Dennie), SirManBoy, Zatara Rought, and myself.
"Done something" is hard to quantify. Different members definitely have different areas they excel and provide solid feedback. You have probably seen a little bit of all of us hidden in the recent patches and hotfixes. Without knocking anyone else on the team, IWS probably works the hardest, if you're curious, since he does our secretarial work in addition to assembling some of the most comprehensive documents for CCP to review. Huge credit to him for that, because I just don't have the attention span.

Bethhy wrote:Then have patches that you say you have had your hand in... But have no statement that has been made from the CPM Council or CCP as a whole on what they helped with.
Some of it is simply hard to quantify. We collaborate with Rattati a LOT, so by the time you get a released feature, it's got bits and pieces of the CPM and CCP in it for various things. Some of which we can explain, some of which is more difficult. Sometimes there might be a whole line item on a patch note that was a particular CPM's idea and push to have happen. Often based on a forum thread. But something like the warbarge concept shares both a lot of CCP and CPM vision in it.
Also, one of the key problems is that any bad ideas CCP comes up with but does not announce, are NDA. So we can't tell you about the bad ideas we put to death. CPM0 probably had to do a lot more of that than we do though.
Iron Wolf Saber wrote:Man if CPM had an internal scoring system on things they do like show up for the meetings; leaving suggestions; having a convo with a developer.
Oh wait...
We have an internal scoring system? Am I winning?

BTW, I listened to the latest biomassed podcast. During, one of the commentators commented they'd like if we could do consecutive battles on a district in a single day as you can only attack a specific district once a day now. For those that don't know, if you have the clones available, you can do consecutive attacks on a specific district in a single day. Not saying the commentator himself was a CPM but there were CPMs in attendance and no one corrected the commentator. Not sure about you but I certainly feel I am in capable hands. Xel should have corrected him. Heated argument hard to elbow in at times.
The podcast is a bit crazy when that many people are on in general. Yes, we're well aware that attacks get reupped with a five minute interval between if the attacker has enough clones remaining. I don't remember the exact statement, but I am guessing he meant the ability for multiple separate attacks to be placed, not just reattacks with remaining clones.

I consider ensuring there's a CPM2 a key goal of the CPM1. I assume CPM2 will do their best to ensure there is a CPM3, etc.
I love how you like to format complete nonsense as if it's factual information.

Bethhy wrote:How about a CPM Update thread after each patch... Letting the community know where their feedback had an effect... Where the CPM's feedback had an effect and made it's way to a live patch.
I would like to see if I can do this for you for 1.10, but the website seems to be having an issue, and the blog posts won't load. Give me some time. It is a good idea, and if we can do it well in the bounds of the NDA, I'd like to try to do so. The other issue is actually remembering how things went down too.

Major 0nslaught wrote:Soraya Xel wrote:Major 0nslaught wrote:Cpm has proven again and again that they cannot be trusted. Where has CPM1 let you down so far? Let's start with you. What do you actually do for us? Tell me. Half the time I see you post you are just trolling or defending CCP and yourself to give your life some meaning. I don't ever see you actively participating in threads *constructively* in the community. There is a saying that action speaks louder than words.
As a hint: If I am trolling the thread, I have read the thread. I read a LOT of threads. (Hence, I also troll a lot.)
It depends what you consider constructive. I am not a numbers-nitpick person. I have a lot of respect for the people who are, but those threads make my eyes gloss over. I consider answering questions about CCP, the CPM, and future development of DUST and Legion to be constructive. Of course, you've classified that as "defending CCP and yourself" rather than being informative. As, in fact, I am answering your question, but you will surely view this post as just another attempt to "defend myself", rather than doing my best to address your concerns.
Major 0nslaught wrote:I have heard you on biomassed spreading your opinion on what you think should be done but that is YOUR opinion. What about the rest of us? CPM is supposed to be representing the community, not just themselves and their own agenda. Where is your participation in the features and discussions forum? Show me what threads where you have listened to player ideas and given feedback... I for one feel underrepresented and I am not alone.
Let me help you help yourself. :) Chribba created a wonderful site called DUST Search. You can find my profile here: http://dustsearch.com/stats/Soraya_Xel
In addition to being a good overview of my posting frequency, it lists how many posts I have in each subforum. Clicking on one will show you those posts. So, my participation in the Features and Ideas discussion is right here: http://dustsearch.com/search/author/Soraya%20Xel/forum/730
Of course, there's no way to demonstrate how I've actually represented the community to CCP, since those logs are secret. However, on Biomassed, yes, I spread my opinion. Why? Because I have one. I do tell CCP and everyone else my opinion. I also tell CCP what other opinions I see on the forums. Please do not mistake me having and sharing my opinion mean I am not listening to anyone elses'. (Except Kane's. I ignore Kane's opinion outright. Always.)

EVE side, the only real thing players get to evaluate CSM performance is the summit minutes. Since they say who said what during the meetings, you see each person's perspective on every conversation that isn't NDA's into oblivion. Unfortunately, we haven't had a summit yet.

Still want it, and occasionally mention it. Don't expect to see it soon. I don't think the reason why is public, but it's not for lack of want.

Nothing to do with the test server. Personally, I'd particularly love ISD forum moderators in particular here on the DUST side. Nobody does Lockingbro quite like ISD Ezwal.
