They are still being used as grenades. Even when you see a guy toss one you can't get out of the way. The timer needs to be longer.
People who relentlessly spam them all match... Seriously it's sad. |

Maybe you're trolling, I agree they're interesting, the timer is just way too short and they are primarily used as grenades not as traps. I think they are intended to be traps.

Not every player can be a Picasso. But I am in favor of allowing mercs freedom to explore creative ways to use the tools provided in game, not stifle options because some don't like dying in a video game designed around dying. People love to complain though I am sure I don't know why. Remote Explosives are fine. More options, not less.
Really don't see how you can put tossing frisbee grenades in the same league as Picasso.
But hey, not every player can have greater than average IQ.
I'm not saying to reduce anything creative, just that they detonate too quickly. If you are a bit over weight, you are literally ******. Even if you watched said Picasso run up to you and toss it at your feet.
Ps. I've died like 22 thousand times.. So I think I'm ok with it. |

Ye I agree. Rep tools need a capacitor of sorts. I think this would nerf heavies enough that we could re evaluate. |

oh and if it has to take an LAV with RE's just to kill my tank you must be pretty desperate LMFAO
The issue is their av uses would be non existent then. I'm ok with the tossing bit, just not the timer length. I'm not asking for something extreme but maybe something longer than the time it takes to cook a grenade would be reasonable. |

Well if you look closely the someone who started the thread (me) is the same someone who said the bit about rep tool capacitors. Point being, with scouts nerfed, it is increasingly difficult to deal with heavy and logi combo in an enclosed area. Let's look at domination for a second. Some enclosed objectives only have two doors, some have three. With enough heavies and logis it's damn near impossible to do anything.
Grand list of counters 1 orbital (not possible with some objevtives) 2 re's 3 Moar heavies and logis than the other team
Yeah there's mass drivers but if the logis have a logi repping them then your screwed cause mass drivers do nothing to sents. REs are really the most reasonable counter however some are worried that nerfing REs will make the only counter be Moar heavies and logis. I share this concern as well. Furthermore I think the whole logi heavy tactic is OP and only includes you dirty armor tankers for all the fun.
Rep tool capacitors (nothing crazy) would put a spin on the current hold r1 and move in circles the whole match business. Not to mention the fact that proto rep tools are up to 3 times better than standard, leading to the simple truth that a proto stacked squad of heavies and logis is really only countered by another proto stacked squad of heavies and logis. Or REs. The power discrepancy leaves newbs and casual dusters in the dust. Or REs. A rep tool capacitor would allow a small break in this beast mode tactic to allow pushes from the enemy team and require more tactical game play from the heavy logi combo.
Proto min logi and I support rep tool capacitors. As well as ******* stupid REs not working as intended fix that ****.
There. That's my opinion.
