I either save up all my sp to get the Prototype suit right off the bat or I don't even bother getting. I don't even bother using it unless I have the prototype version (as in like, I won't even use the STD and ADV ones without it being level 5).
It's as If having it to level 5 allows me to use the STD and ADV version.

When I respecced, the only non-amarr suit I got was proto min basic. Cuz, faaalcoooon puuuuunch!!!!

I'm the same way. I ts like you're getting ripped off by not receiving the max bonus for having level 5, so I won't touch it. Won't use a weapon till I have at least prof.3 in it and even then I'm not happy till I get it to 5

same except the weapon part. I use all the weapons proto or not.
