You don't have to like all aspects of this game. For instance, I don't like the proto stomp. If I leave game and join a new one, ai get thrown back into the same game. I don't have a choice in the circumstances of a game, yet I want to play. I play for enjoyment so I wait til I can enjoy it. Also, I only play for the pretty visuals and sound effects. I'm only ever just play testing this advanced beta.
Wow, that's got to suck. I would have stopped playing.FPS games long ago if I played only against easy players.
I feel for you man that has to be very unenjoyable.

When you are in a FW that is going badly, what is the incentive to push? You can give 110% effort...guess what? If its a loss, you're still getting like 200LP. Its unsustainable to put in effort for that kind of reward. The losses far outweigh any gain.
So its not so much that he doesn't want to play this game. Some matches are unplayable. When you are up against an absolute stomp, with a 200LP payout no matter what you do...mise as well save yourself the trouble.
I'm pretty sure it would be easier to just buy the gear he wants with Aurum. The only gear you can't get with ISK would be APEX suits. People only play to get them if they either enjoy earning them or if they are just that cheap.
If we are talking about the most economic option then buying it with Aurum is a lot better. You save a lot of time which you could use to either earn more things in Dust or make more money in real life. Either way Aurum would be far more economical.
