In reality I have never thought this and I have been playing DUST 514 since April 2013. Why is this a problem and what will addressing it fix?
use a mass driver.. they cant jump higher than the splash

I'd be happy with some form of happy median, all of the arcadey BS that all the kids say should be included because video game is just silly. OTOH though, your claims about ball and musket firing lines in Dust is equally as silly. Too many extremists on this forum, where have all the moderates gone?
well it is a twitch based shooter.. to change that aspect would be quite an undertaking and complete rebalance of everything.. the few PC tactical shooters out there that are not arcadey are very niche populations.. you can't really have that on console and expect any kind of population outside of a handful of neckbeards.. it's probably why Bad Company 2 has rested in the bargain bin for this long, there wasn't enough dance involved for the console crowd.

it's still a better and more accessible idea than nerfing the game even more.. you asked how and i provided a solution currently in the game to handle it.. i should be the one smhing..
