Proposed a similar idea in the pasty, but have refined the idea since then.
I'm not one to write out a wall of stats, but here's a description of what I have in mind.
Tactical Rail Rifle
Single shot variation of Rail Rifle, high damage, low RoF, slightly longer range than current RR.
Rough outline for the stats
- 0.3 Charge time
- 0.25 Cooldown time
- 10% Longer range than current RR
- 8 bullet magazine
- Better scope than current RR
This weapon would be somewhat of a DMR, better than the RR at long ranges, but worse in CqC. Imagine an 'Assault Charge Sniper' with much less range and damage.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

The Bolt Pistol is bad enough.
I can get pinned down by a weak ass pistol from 50 meters.
That's a bit ridiculous, not the damage per say but the damn gun aims for you, you don't even have to try hitting your target.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

Are you saying the BP is OP against armour, which it is meant to destroy?
Kill Death Ratio is an invalid metric and thus should not be used to determine skill.

At what point did he imply that.
Point it out to me.
He clearly stated the problem he has with the BP is its aim assist. He even went so far to say that he doesn't have a problem with the damage.

No if anything it'll be a .4 charge near 80 damage fully auto kick like hell and a mag of 20.
