Currently? I'd say Gal (or Am) and fast armor tank it with the ARR.
If Shields get a buf and/or they change the Cal bonus, I reserve the right to change my opinion.  |

Caldari gets bonus for Rail Rifle (no matter how meaningless) but be prepared since shield tanks BLOW

Anything NOT Caldari.
The bonus that the Rail Rifle receives from the Caldari Assault is inconsequential. And, last time I bothered to check, Rattati is leery of changing its bonus to a good one, thanks to borderline intellectually deficit jerkoffs that mistakenly believe that the Caldari Assault bonus is worthwhile.
With that in mind, Gallente Assault seems a decent platform for the Rail Rifle... Though, so does the Amarr Assault... And the Minmatar one, too.

cal has the reload bonus but its not significant, and shield tanking sucks. i reccomend gallente.

Some of the best slayers in the game use cal assault with a rail rifle. Just saying. |

Don+¿t listen to the people claiming Caldari Assault because they have no imagination and just match the racial weapon to the racial suit.
Gallente Assaults are one of the strongest suits in the game right now..
Their slot layout completely caters to a RR Playstyle... Allowing decent armor tanking while stacking damage mods.
Play around in Protofits The web browsing fitting simulator... and see what fits you can make. |
