News Flash:
Working as intended. Minmatar Scout was never designed to take on more than one merc at a time. In fact, it wasn't even designed to take on a merc HEAD ON. It's designed for the silent Minmatar nova knife-wielding ninja. That's why it's called a Minja. You're suppose to attack from behind and kill mercs one at a time in this fashion.
Anyone using the Minja to confront someone head on against two mercs is simply asking for clip-loads of rounds into their face.

Ummm... except in the hands of a veteran. At that point, the Minscout becomes the most feared suit in the game and the cities would never be safe.

I don't even run my scouts with anywhere near that. LOL
My fittings are totally deprived of any tanking mods with the exception of the logistics suits I have. XD

And seriously... if you are outnumbered you really complain about getting killed? It would OP as **** if it could defeat two enemies without a hitch. Don't need a cloak to knife ya, and preferring to take the opponent from behind isn't a sign of cowardice, the rear is just the preferred entrance to penetrate. If you'd like to crouch, I'm sure plenty of Minjas wouldn't mind going from the front~ Nah, im pretty sure blindsiding someone from behind has been a trait of a coward since the stone ages. Less than a couple hundred years ago our armies marched head on in straight lines, as this was the honorable thing to do. Only the United States and its Apache training changed this. Now its called "tactics" I guess..
Oh boo-*******-hoo. You're just butt hurt because people found a more efficient way of killing you in battle while depriving you of your kills.

The fact that you brought it up and labeled it as cowardice is a powerful confirmation to all of us that you are butthurt about it. Have a nice day.

You missed his point.
His point is that no one uses this tactic anymore. Point me to one nation today that still -- to this day -- sends its troops into another country in a phalanx formation to invade.
Even during the American Revolutionary War the tactic of blindsiding your enemy and guerrilla warfare was already being employed in some cases. Nowadays, catching your enemy by surprise is a routine tactic. Most nations would laugh at you for still using Phalanx formations outside of a marching band.

P14GU3 wrote:Actually, I was responding to Crimson's OP, in which he stated that attacking from behind was not a cowardice act, when 90% or more of human history dictates otherwise. It had nothing to do with the minjas role. Actual "ninjas" had the same role, but you would be hard pressed to find anywhere in our history that they were honorable. Effective, but hardly honorable..
Even if you're right, that won't stop one group from resorting to using ninja tactics against another. You can call me a coward every day but it's still not going to make me stop attacking from behind. I'll still do it.
What you're talking about is exactly the kind of thing that's spoken about high-sec suicide gankers in Eve Online where countless destroyers, cruisers, and battlecruisers willfully sacrifice themselves to kill a defenseless hauler that just so happens to be carrying billions of ISK worth of fat loot. Often times carrying far more than what the ship is worth before it's lost to a fiery barrage of death raining down on them out of nowhere. The victim never did anything wrong but the gankers don't care.
People often call these suicide gankers cowards for picking on innocent miners or haulers. But that never stopped them from continuing their onslaught for 11 years straight. Just 6 years ago, the act of suicide ganking became so popular that it became it's on official blood sport forever known as Hulkageddon. Countless miners and haulers cried foul saying this is unfair and that high-sec suicide ganking must be a bannable offense. But CCP and every other player throughout New Eden only gave those people a deaf ear for their cries to fall on.
Welcome to New Eden.
Here, honor is just a 5-letter word. Get use to it.

I've actually killed mercs even after they spotted me. If they happen to have a certain weapon that requires precision, I can get under their gun effectively as long as I change up my sprint randomly. You'd be amazed how close you can get before they realize they're not dealing with a noob scout.
