Does anyone one else feel the Caldari Apex suits are underwhelming compared to the other racial apex suits?
I think if you were to do a top 4 suits for each category, each Caldari Apex suit would be at the bottom of every list.
I understand that apex are not supposed to be the best fittings but for example...
A sniper rifle on a commando?
Rail rifle on a scout?
Forge gun on a heavy?
Not to mention the changes to the rr make the assault and basically all these fits more of a chore
On paper the logi looks the most useful.
Any other thoughts/opinions on these suits?
Likes?/dislikes?
I am going by protofits btw, so please correct any misinformation

The Rasetsu is okay, the kampo is 'okay' but would be much better if it had a k2 or a x3 quantum.
The sentinel, scout and commando are all pretty bad.

Are any of them decent? But you shouldn't be surprised that a shield suit is underwhelming
Shield tanking is hard mode /period.

Best APEX Suit is the Shaman. ^^ WP Farming~ but why Standard Reptool? o.o Proto Stuff for Logis CCP >.<
CalMando with normal RR(why not Assault) and Standard Sniper Rifle(better is Tactical) so worst..
Atlas and Shogun with Standard Forge Gun...

I don't understand why you wouldn't want a sniper rifle on a Caldari commando. The sniper rifle is included in the Caldari commando's damage bonus for hybrid-rail weapons (2% bonus damage per level). It is the best suit for sniping.
Forge guns are Caldari weapons, so it makes sense that the Caldari Apex sentinel suit would have them.

I would just rather they take APEXs away completely. Just destroy the lot of 'em!
Why? Do you see anyone that wears a BPO asking for a rez or trying not to die?
Oh and I must ask. Why in the buttery hell does the Tiger scout have a set of NKs?!?
Kill Death Ratio is an invalid metric and thus should not be used to determine skill.

I am loving the **** out of my Samurai Commando at the moment. Perfect for being stupid while CQC sniping, and good for actual sniping and RR combat. I rarely go negative with the suit, unless I am being really stupid with my CQC sniping, but even then I usually go positive,

For a game that brags about variety you wonder why we have only one variant for the APEX. They could have had at least two Caldari scouts, etc for each suit. You can never have too much variety. Even if all they did was swap the RR for Assault RR, I am sure the community would be happier

Racial suit skill bonuses do not apply to apex suits. Apex suits are considered standard proto suits (heavy, medium, light) instead of what their names say (sentinal, commando, assault, logi, scout). So they don't get any suit bonuses. Only weapon bonuses apply to the weapons they carry if you have those skills.
Proven with min scout. I have lvl 5 min scout and when i run apex min scout the hacking bonus does not apply. only the hacking module. Plus it was stated by CCP just in case you dont believe my test.

Exactly this. My calmando double complex dammage mod dedicated Cko can one shot almost any suit with my tales. Smart snipers use the calmando.

Actually, I do because I understand getting picked up helps maintain our clone count. Unless I died with 16 redberries all around me. Then I won't entice my blueberries to doom and destruction and take proper care to spawn away from that mess.
Also, NKs fit the Min scout. My kniving is horrible and I use that suit to practice. Don't take them away...

But the Hawk should have them. (The Calscout should have the NK bonus too. Why CCP gave them ou bonus instead of a melee bonus or such I will never know.  )

Opus and the Nomad are probably the best Apex suits. Rasetsu would be good if CCP actually buffed shields to being worth using to tank for anything other then a scout.

I thought id keep it simple an rate them with a short additional comment
Assault 7/10. Drop the range mod for.......anything else
Logi 8/10. Assault rail yay, basic nanohive booo
Sentinel 4/10 No one really needs an infinite forge frame
Commando 6/10 Tac sniper would be preferred
Scout 3/10. Bad fit is bad, also assault rail please

Caldari Industry and trade is big in it's culture. You'd think american cars would be popular with americans but imports are very popular. Just cause the Caldari capitalize on making cheap efficient knives for the mini's doesn't mean that have to use them.
As full Caldari loyalist again.. I can't say it enough we take all the nerfs for team Dust.. RR, Forge Gun, Swarm Launchers, CPU Nerfs, Range Nerfs the list goes on and on and on..
