I don't understand why you must bring in proto squads and try your hardest to win Because they want to use what they worked hard to get? I don't use proto in pubs cause im cheap, but let others use whatever they have. p.s. your such a damn troll
I have 2 suits at proto and I never use them. I maxed the skills for the bonus, that's all I need. I'm tired of this "I worked for it, therefore I must use it" mentality. Not pointing fingers, but this seems to be one of the ways we rationalize using proto when we don't need to.

Proto suit doesn't mean "I win automatically". I have adv suit(s) that mofos should cry about more than most of my proto fits.
Well yeah, on rare occasion I'll use proto (with STD weapons) just for the slot count. Ex. So I can have a Regulator, Cardiac, Ferroscale, and Repairer simultaneously on my Minmatar Assault.
But as we know, most of those who run proto stack HP and use proto weapons.

Some interesting mentalities I've witnessed over the past couple years.
#1 "I earned it, I'm entitled to use it even if I have the skills to succeed without it." You still get the bonuses even if you use a lower tier suit.
#2 "Who cares, it's a game. I need an excuse not to be conscientious of others." It's always easier to not care, but it is bringing down the game for many.
#3 "If you used proto too, there wouldn't be a problem. Get on my level or don't play." While Dust certainly isn't the casual's game, it doesn't justify overkilling those who aren't on your level yet.
I don't intend to villainize anyone or point fingers. Humans, by nature, are greedy and will exploit what they can. My point is that it's important to be aware of those who are lesser, and instead of looking down on them and ruining their enjoyment of New Eden, we should be staying out of their way while they progress to a point where they can experience the game on our level. I'm not only referring to new players, I'm also talking about solo veterans like myself who can't stand up to entire squads of proto veterans.
Though I suppose we won't have to worry about all this when we get some proper matchmaking and/or meta level based matches.
