Would you use 20lvl armor on 50lvl character?
I don't think so.
Would you use std stuff when you have 6 proto suits and you can afford to run them because you earned it?
Stop complaining and play/don't play.
Ps. When i started to play Dust, i was using Cal assault. Everybody used Duvolle with 3x dmg mods. AR and armor were kings, shields were crap. I/others played without complaining on forums.

Ah, but pubs are not end game.
Pubs are end game for half of Dust playerbase.
About proto. I forgot to add.
It's easier to profit in proto if you know what you're doing. You'll earn more wp [more isks], you have greater chance to live etc.

but the assclowns I have to face every god damn day I play are flocking together in 6-10 proto player groups. they have eyes everywhere and scan in all directions (mostly not a problem for me when I run dampeners)...but even when I manage to down 1 or 2 of them the rest of them will just turn around and insta- vaporize me. and if I didn't managed to bleed them out in these very few seconds I have after killing them, they'll just get revived...so resulting that I lost a suit in a suicide mission and them not losing their proto suit which puts me in a worser position..

If they would be in adv suits, they would still manage to do that.
