Most likely to keep going until PS3 support is discontinued, it becomes financially unfeasible or Legion is completed.
Then maybe a legion to PS5 would be the closest thing to a "next gen" Dust.

All depends on what CCP plans to do. First they might just be using dust to test things out that they want for Legion and after Legion is out on the PC they'll have no need for Dust anymore and shut it down may okay not bring legion to the ps4 then. Or keep Dust as a lobby shooter but with so much more options on the ps4 while Legion goes on to be everything Dust was suppose to be.
Second option they might have cancelled Legion and are continuing with Dust but don't want to admit it but are doing it silently with these updates.
Should Legion be on the ps4?

Nope.
It was clearly explained at FanFest that they've stacked so much extra tech on top of Unreal Engine 3 that it's exactly the same.
Any stability issues you might think would result from that is because we're all too ignorant of how programming works to understand how smart they are.

Playstation 3 has around 80 million + consoles sitting around the planet...
Playstation 4 after holidays is said to hit 13.5 million consoles sold total.
There is a massive market difference.
If DUST does port over to the PS4.... It will take considerable more PS4 sales to have a market large enough to justify it.
Will it happen? ASlong as DUST keeps making money... hell yea it will...
And right now? DUST is the only thing making CCP Money.... EVE is loosing revenue every month. |

They didn't buy the Ue4 engine license....
To get a Ue4 license it is 19 dollars a month... And you can develop to your hearts content on it...
Here
"How much do I have to pay for Unreal Engine 4? UE4 is available for $19 per user per month, with a 5% royalty on gross revenue after the first $3,000 per game per calendar quarter from commercial products.
Developers in Europe pay Gé¼19 per user per month, including VAT, and the 5% royalty applies here as well.
European friends, we're sorry this isn't more obvious through the website! We were not set up for dual currency payment until very close to launch. This will be a smoother experience soon."

Unreal engine has always been cheap to start developing on.... get's expensive later. |

The gist here is that in order for Dust to be in the PS4, Project Legion (which is basically Dust Reworked) will need to be successful on the PC first.

It is more like they put more effort to Valkyrie for ps4, what actually mean nothing to me. If there will be MAG2 on ps4 i will have it already. Ergo i stay with my Ps3 with TLoU, Dust 514 and Destiny (sometimes in Fallout3/NV or Skyrim).

I call bullspit on that highlighted part. So far, Eve Online has experience massive improvements over the past 6 months alone and that's not including the successful Crucible, Retribution, and Odyssey expansions that came before the 6-week release cycle was implemented by CCP which is an adoption of the release cycle similar to that of World of Warcraft.
The recent "This is Eve" trailer even proved to be a success. Many corporations in Eve Online had to step in to help with the new recruits because of a spike in new players coming in ever since the trailer went public. http://crossingzebras.com/cz-minutes-this-is-eve/ http://www.pcgamer.com/ccp-unleashes-spectacular-this-is-eve-trailer-urge-to-play-eve-rises/ http://www.lostineve.net/this-is-eve-the-trailer-above-all-trailers/
From the article in Crossing Zebras wrote: The fawning over the trailer from sites like Polygon, Massively, etc. helped introduce over 500 new player characters to the game within the first 48 hours of the trailer being out. ThatGÇÖs effective marketing, especially given the past year of notable scandals (Erotica 1, the monument defacing, the CCP layoffs, etc.) that made people really question the state of the company and their ability to attract new players to the game.
The biggest task CCP, and the veterans in the community, is fostering the new players into maintaining their interest in EVE. In years past CCP have usually shifted the work of educating new players to the EVE community and I canGÇÖt help but feel theyGÇÖve realized the problems with that. With a new focus on improving the New Player Experience, they should also be working on the New Player Education.
With the recent removal of the clone grades, the implementation of the near-infinite skill queue which can last maybe over a year even for a trial account, better new-player experience, and along with many veterans stepping in to help with the new players, we're experiencing good times over there in Eve Online.
From the looks of it all, I don't see Eve Online suffering financially anytime soon.

What about complete Dust 514 first, i will be glad for that. Tinking with late version for pc can wait, there is still much of not fixed and not implemented stuff.

Considering there is already a whole team dedicated to Project Legion, we'll have to let that finish on its own. In the meantime, Dust 514 is now looking like the unofficial beta platform for Legion because some of the things presented at Fanfest 2014 for Legion (remember those gloomy and toxic moods?) have recently been implemented into Dust. We're probably looking at having personal warbarges this February if the Trello boards are any indication and judging from what CPM Kevall Longstride mentioned in his recent message to the D-UNI corp. We are leaving Uprising that month after all.

Which is why I'm not being completely optimistic about Legion. At least with CCP Rattati, we saw actual progress for Dust. Meanwhile, the Project Legion forums have fallen silent.
