So I feel that RE spam has decreased somewhat, but I still run into people chucking REs instead of using their weapons. I believe this behavior will not fully go away unless we remove REs (which I am against) however, we can give people some warning that they are nearby by giving them a profile that can be picked up on passive scans. This profile would be tiered, ie: the higher the tier, the lower the profile.
Now, REs are supposed to be used to protect objectives, or to set up traps. Being alerted to their presence would also ruin their primary use. Therefore, I propose that their profile be lower than that of comparative equipment. Lore-wise, this could be because the transponders that allow remote detonation are not drawing as much power as say, an uplink that's making a mini-wormhole. Therefore, their profile would be lower than other equipment. In order to use remotes like death frisbees and not alert your enemy to what your doing, you'd have to make room to fit higher tier remotes.
I don't have the numbers in front of me as to what the equipment profiles are at each tier (on vacation) so if someone could post them I would be greatly appreciative. I'll formulate some possible numbers for REs once I know what the equipment profiles are.

Then the sentinel won't be able to scan them anyway.

But perhaps a hack wheel of 3 seconds to set them off?
