Speaking on the topic of maps, why are they so huge? If they cut them up and made them shorter, it would probably solve a few problems we have, or alleviate them. Pass that on to CCP. |

Map size was definitely one of those "vision" things where CCP was probably thinking a bit ahead of what they can deliver. That being said, just straight up land probably isn't the biggest thing, performance-wise. Players, map sockets (buildings), etc. are much more intensive.

Doesn't have to be wavy water, just make it textured to look like water and have it beyond the redline. Illusion or not, it'd be sweet to have. |

Try a sky island map. Heavy fog with no floor surrounding the islands, small bridges connecting them. Etc
