I think it would be fun (if not a bit disheartening at times) if, at the end-of-battle screen you saw how much ISK worth of material you expended on the previous battle. This would let you know whether or not you're effectively "mercing" because as it stands currently, you buy suits/fittings/etc from the money you have, but there's no clear way to tell exactly how much you've lost and whether or not the 40k-ish ISK that you made from the battle is enough to replace your losses. I think this will be absolutely critical when it comes time to have actual player-run corporations, because mercs are all about turning a profit and the only way to know basically how much you need to charge is to know how much it cost you to do your dirty work. |

I agree, but there may be one problem. The market now is a npc run market, but perhaps ccp will make it a player (possibly EVE) driven market? (I could be wrong about this, but knowing CCP it is always possible) IF that will be the case, then these things will be much harder to do due to prices changing the entire time. But ofcourse if the market will remain npc driven this is actually an awesome idea and i fully support it. ^^

I actually think that is less of an issue than we might think. CCP is always extrapolating tons of data. Of course, if there is a player-driven market (from the EVE or Dust side of things) they could simply use the "average market value" like they do for ships and fittings that are destroyed in combat in EVE currently. So yes, it might not accurately reflect how much you spent on your equipment, it might not accurately reflect exactly how much you need to spend to replace it, but it would give you a much better idea than having to extrapolate costs v. rewards through some archaic spreadsheet mechanism (which works great for EVE players, not so great I'm guessing for FPS players in general). |

It should be easy if you use the base cost like Battleclinic does when calculating the ISK value in a destroyed ship for EVE. |

They're able to add a button which calculates how much it would cost to restock your suit, and then spend that in the market - this is the same idea, just displayed for all the suits you'd lost in the map, etc.
However the restock system is modified when the player market comes out (restock for the cheapest price, perhaps?), that could be implemented over as well. |

IIRC CCP has done it in EVE with Inferno. You can see now a price of items in you cargohold. How is it calculated? I don't know though. |

Yes. I would really like to see this because I think I'm losing ISK in most matches.. |

CCP announced there will be a shared market and a dust only market. So there will be some things we will share.
I think the battle report is a fantastic idea. They have it for nearly every other fps when the leader board pops up at the end.
The only difference is this will show Isk lost vs isk destroyed, For Team, Corp, Personal. It also might be nice to have that be another thing that factors into SP gained. If your Isk lost vs Isk destroyed is good. More extra SP, if its bad or negative little to no extra sp gained.
Im a merc in eve and naturally were unhealthily obsessed with our Isk, and KD ratios so it seems fitting to apply the same tools we use to track this in eve to dust since its all mercs all the time. |

Yes, EVE Online Kill Mails have recently been overhauled to now show ISK value of assets lost/dropped/etc... Especially for the EVE Player who also becomes a DUST Player and is playing the "mercenary market" game... it will be important to keep track of your gains and losses to make sure you're getting maximum ROI on every contract...
**EDIT** Although I don't think a "kill mail" is really called for when you can get 20, 30, 40+ kills per match sometimes... That would get a bit spammy on the old inbox. |

A summing up of your lost equipment at the end of a match is a giant yes please in my book. |

Definitely agree with OP. I'd personally like to see a 'Kill Mail' generated for Corp Battles that shows as much info as possible, especially assets used/lost. Further, a team 'Kill Mail' including participants battle stats and assets used, sent to that teams DUST Corps would help determine profits and whose contributing or needs help. |

Want this added, and kill mail / battle report style things, so I can see who and what I killed / died to afterwards. |

I HATE fights that only net me like 40k, my scout fit costs more than that just to die once >_< Granted I don't die much and usually get tons of kills, but still, those matches are the suck |

Very much a +1 from me!
I mentioned the same thing in another thread... It would help with judging the risk/reward mechanic and our decisions on what gear to use...

It wouldn't be how much the market value of the item is, it would be that "dropsuit A cost you 20,000 ISK to fit, you died 12 times, you won X amount of ISK, this is the net gain or loss."
Simple as that! |

I can't give any details or timeframe for deployment right now, but we realize that clear visualization of the damage you've done to your opponents is a very nifty thing to have and we definitely want to do something like this in the future. |

I wouldn't mind this, as sometimes after I die a few times I wonder how much money I am losing. So I completely support this feature. |

Yeah.. I really hope it comes sooner than later. It's actually quite disheartening to unlock all this kickass gear, and then realise it costs me more to die once than the ISK I usually earn in one entire match.
It kinda forces my hand if I want to be ISK efficient. Granted, ISK efficiency is pointless in the beta, but still, buying 45k suits is a great way to go broke fast. so I've passed on using that suit more than once in any game, and often I'm just rolling with my merc suit saving up ISK lol. |
