I'm giving up and letting the current pull me out to sea then swim back to shore. I'm tired of fighting this "rip current/under toe", I'm just relaxing and gonna banwagon the play style of the month. I'm dropping $20.00 into a PSN card and getting a skill reset. I'm going to keep all my dropsuit core upgrades maxed out. I'm need the best 2 scout fits and the best logi fit. Also need to know what is Over Powered this build. Sorry for selling out guys, just keep getting slaughtered by campers. I can't bet them, so I guess I'll join them. Going to apologize in advance, if I kill you with RE's or creeping up behind you cloaked with a shot gun. It's not my style, it's just what I have to do. Please gimme advice now for my respec.

I'm going to keep my minmatar scout, goes with my hacking and nova knives, but i'm not going to skill into assault or anything else. Scouts are what is IN right now. I was thinking about a Caldari Scout with like 500 shields, because "BLUESHIELDING' is in effect again, that would provide a buffer for me, then throw on a cloaking device and RE's for equipment, and maybe a shotgun or rail rifle, something that eat through HP's. What do you think? All of the cool kids are wearing Caldari these days. Shields are in. So what do you think?

Core skills are good.
If I could have only one Logi, it'd be Gal, although a good argument could be made for Min.
Among slayers, the assault is becoming more popular at the expense of scouts, and the closest thing to a FOTM that I'm seeing is Min Assault.
For a while now, Am Heavy has been heavy FOTM and Gal Scout is the best all-around scout, IMO. |

People say Gallente scout is the best, however, I see the exact opposite on the battlefield. Why is that? I personally struggle killing a Cal rather than a Gal. Nevertheless, can you please give me a brief description why that is?

You don't run a scout, I'll bet, and/or your primary weapon likely doesn't handle shields well....
The short answer is (a) dampening bonus and (b) slot layout (lots of lows and a few highs).
Said a bit differently, a Gal Scout can defeat all passive scanning and does so with plenty of HP/reps and room for damage mods too.
Cal Scouts eat up people with poor scanning (or poor situational awareness) when paired with either a high alpha weapon (like shotgun, or, as I like to run the suit, with dual BrScP) or someone who likes to use the suit's speed to their advantage.
All of the above said, the Gal Scout (and, frankly, all the scouts) took a big hit with recent hotfixes, that the gap between scout suits has narrowed and, even more so, the gap between the scout and assault suits -- you simply see more of the slayers who used to run around in Cal / Gal scouts in Assault suits these days (myself included, as I've been running a lot of Gal Assault instead of Cal Scout recently).
Hope this makes more sense now, but like all things suit-related, it's a subjective assessment and is inherently biased by the author. In other words, IMO.  |

There we go. That's what is getting me. The strafing neglects my hit detection. When I roll up on one, I'll unload maybe a quarter clip (all hit the target) but it's all blue shield and they take no damage, I'm using a duvolle hybrid weapon. 1 sec later, we begin dancing and the strafe neglects my hit detection in addition to the blue shields. So 2.5 seconds after I engage, I always find myself reloading and trying to avoid dying. But this scout only has like 300 shields and like 90 armor. So it's crazy. My rounds are connecting, it's like a full proof buffer against someone getting the jump on you if you run caldari scout. This is my exoerience. Anyone else having the same issues?

Don't go Calscout. As hard as I try, there are many ways to get instaganked as a shield suit. I get melted by Scr's and ACR if I flee, and no better if I stay and fight.
Gal Scout is a very solid option in comparison, with a working and advantageous bonus.
Gallogi or Minlogi are both strong at their bonuses, but if you hate being instaganked by SG scouts, go gallogi for the armor and the scanners.
Amarr Sentinel is an easymode beast. Take it out if the other team is pissing you off.
Minmatar Assault is loads of fun and when fitted right, is arguably a better strafe-dancer than even the Calscout.
Please buff my Magsex. It doesn't hit hard enough...

Just tank a Gal scout and run Breach AR. Drive around in an LAV to make it even better. Duck and shoot. No cloak.
This is the Pre-Uprising fit for a Gallente and IMO what a Gallente Assault should be.

lol i never FOTM, i use what i like and eventually they make it better then i see all the BUMS come flocking. i laugh though because i know what half y'all run so when i see the drastic change it is either scruberry or you are bored and wanted a change. OH and what happend to all you CAL scrubs . ( not to offend true crapdari fans)

Yup. Same here.
Scouts went FoTM and I was so sad I had to leave my GalScout alone for a while.
That being said, I now use A-1 assault with PLC and flaylol.

^^^^ This , I just went against a Gal Commando with a SG and that's all I was getting was that Blue Flash while I unloaded MH-82 rounds into him with minimum effect and my HMG is maxed .
Needless to say that I kept dying because of this .
It's been like this for about a week for me , I noticed it last week and thought it was just a fluke but I guess it's here to stay .
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .

I used to run MinAssault before people discovered ho2 awesome they are 50% of the time along side my GalAssault. Now that it is basically borderlining FOTM I am not running it anymore.
But if you want, MinAssault Mk.0 completely shield tanked and a few kinkats on lows with ferroscales.
