Core skills are good.
If I could have only one Logi, it'd be Gal, although a good argument could be made for Min.
Among slayers, the assault is becoming more popular at the expense of scouts, and the closest thing to a FOTM that I'm seeing is Min Assault.
For a while now, Am Heavy has been heavy FOTM and Gal Scout is the best all-around scout, IMO. |

Gal Scout is the best scout, IMO, and has been for a while now. People say Gallente scout is the best, however, I see the exact opposite on the battlefield. Why is that? I personally struggle killing a Cal rather than a Gal. Nevertheless, can you please give me a brief description why that is?
You don't run a scout, I'll bet, and/or your primary weapon likely doesn't handle shields well....
The short answer is (a) dampening bonus and (b) slot layout (lots of lows and a few highs).
Said a bit differently, a Gal Scout can defeat all passive scanning and does so with plenty of HP/reps and room for damage mods too.
Cal Scouts eat up people with poor scanning (or poor situational awareness) when paired with either a high alpha weapon (like shotgun, or, as I like to run the suit, with dual BrScP) or someone who likes to use the suit's speed to their advantage.
All of the above said, the Gal Scout (and, frankly, all the scouts) took a big hit with recent hotfixes, that the gap between scout suits has narrowed and, even more so, the gap between the scout and assault suits -- you simply see more of the slayers who used to run around in Cal / Gal scouts in Assault suits these days (myself included, as I've been running a lot of Gal Assault instead of Cal Scout recently).
Hope this makes more sense now, but like all things suit-related, it's a subjective assessment and is inherently biased by the author. In other words, IMO.  |
