I would like to know your opinion and advices on how I should build my assault suit properly. Here is my usual build.
http://www.protofits.com/fittings/view/0/10546
Then I have one similar if I want to play defensively:
http://www.protofits.com/fittings/index/0/10547
Or if I want to be able to move faster:
http://www.protofits.com/fittings/index/0/10548
I have many more builds with other weapons but this is what I use 90% of the time. These builds get the job done for me but then there are just those proto min assaults and calscouts that manage to out skill me so tips on those would be nice. Also I would like to know the builds that would most likely kill me. Just a few things you mention will help me greatly :D

^Best fit.
Well on my other account i have what I call an "assault sentinel" its a Pro amarr sentinel with a duvolle TacAR and 4 pro armor reps and 1 pro shield ext. so I have around 500 shields and 750 armor with ridiculous hp regen and movement speed. Quite fun but anyways I HIGHLY prefer the Scr over TacAR. Scr is liike the saddistic big brother of the TacAr |

EDIT: The Amarr assault has a great bonus towards reducing heat buildup of laser weaponry (laser rifle, scrambler rifle, assault scrambler rifle). If you're wondering why Fizzer suggested the tactical assault rifle over the scrambler rifle, its because he has been going on about how the tactical AR is now supposedly superior to the SCR, and it's just his way of dragging that into this thread.
that depends on playstyle doesn't it? I play MUCH better with a ScR than a TacAR. Also it feels more........powerful,preference I suppose. I mean killing with Lasers, what ISN'T cool about that?! |

I solo most of the time since my corp is inactive,so I'm pretty used to surviving without logi on my current build. Involved a lot of deaths. Best Match I did with that build is 40/4. those four deaths were scouts and minassault. |

I mean killing with Lasers, what ISN'T cool about that?! in theory nothing in practicality its the fact the weapons have a nasty habit of exploding in your face killing you and they hit like a flaccid noodle on armor
Amarr logic= Aesthetics>practicality
but in all seriousness I did invest sp on other weapons in case the Scr just don't cut it |

- Stack HP
- Fit a glorious Viziam for the mighty Empress
- Walk in firefight
- Aim weapon and BURN THE HERETICS!!!
- Laugh at the meager damage you are taking as your holy lasers burn the unbelievers to the ground
- Throw away your crappy Viziam because you realize TacAR is better
- Rinse and repeat! This time, with the green fire of GALLENTEAN FREEDOM
I have proto in most light weapons except the plasma cannon, shot gun and the swarm launchers. I also spent a month using each weapons I have proto'd and TacAR feels nice if I want to play it safe but if I feel like walking through the fire and flames for the mighty empress then there is no better weapon to use but wrath of god. Optimized for blapping minmatar scouts~
How many amarr does it take to change a light bulb? none. The minmatar do it for them

Freccia di Lybra wrote:If you are using the Laser Rifle you don't really need that mobility, so you can sacrifice a bit of it and put in some complex armor plate instead of one or two ferroscales.
Using the Scrambler Rifle is a bit different, so you'll prefer mobility / regn over armor stacking.
Also, you should charge your first shot most of the times.
Turbo controller is a Sin, and might be punished with excommunication.
I always charge my first shot,I also try to hit the head first,I don't succeed most of the time but I will learn someday

thats optimum for caldari, not for amarr since our shields will go down in one good shot without shield extenders

Have since chrome. It's nice to have that buffer back sooner. I am repping and recharging on the move, between gunfights. Furthermore mainstream fits are boring and easily countered. Playing to your strengths leaves you weak in other areas.
Well I suppose, just that I get killed faster if I try tanking on shields with an amarr. I'll take your advice, thank you!

My playstyle is more towards agressive point defence
