The blob must be shot at from all angles at once to be destroyed.
The only other ways to destroy a blob other than exposure, is by lethal warbarge strike or multiple blaster HAVs or turrets pounding the ever-loving fk out of it.

The Blob is easier to fight in doms and skirms, but is almost impossible to destroy in ambushes unless you have a team of competent blueberries. The Blob cannot be solo'd.

The Blob has movement mechanics similar to a mass of squiddies from the The Matrix Revolutions..... attempting to solo The Blob, will get you the same outcome of Captain Mifune.

Boss fight I've fought: Counter sniping an amarr sentinel with 404 shielding and a bit over 1000 armour with good armour repairing nanohives that's camping on their MCC. I've fought some harsh things in games, but trying to stop that bastard was as hard as trying to fight this thing alone.

Luck I say, LUCK. I killed 6 proto suits, 6 adv and 2 mil suits all running together with a mixture of mass driver, remote explosive and smg fire. I died though... killed myself with my own remote, but the blob was no more. My heart was pounding like crazy the entire time. (this happened last week on spine crescent bridge.)
