So my inlaws are over for the holidays and my 8 year old nephew was telling me how he loves Halo and I've been telling him about DUST 514.
Earlier today he watched me play a game and then asked if he could try. So I helped him create a character and let him know that DUST is a tough game and that he should expect to not do too well.
So off he went to battle academy and to my amazement he started killing reds left, right and center. He's played about 6 battles and has yet to have more deaths than kills, has been top 3 three times and has actually topped the leader board once.
So you should all run and hide before he graduates from the academy and makes you all rage quit
On a serious note, I was also quite shocked at how terrible the players are in the battle academy. That step up in competition when they graduate is going to be a doozy. |

I do wonder sometimes if some academy players are bots. It's always so easy to queue up matches regardless of the day.

I recently played Battlefield 4 and to my amazement I sucked hard, considering that I did pretty good in BF3. You generally have to work at it and there is that learning curve, Dust has one but if you understand the pace of the gameplay it comes naturally.
Don't think about that, think about all the money.

Did the same thing with my 12 year old nephew. He played on a Minmatar fronline.... got 4k WP.
Then he was thrown into the pit, and dominated. I still wonder how OP the ACR is.

Yeah I started off as a young dust player and stepping up was a little hard, but after you get the hang of things it gets easier. I ran a Gallente Light Basic suit earlier today with RS-90, Militia Sub Machine Gun. Basic Armor Plates, Miltia Armor Plates, Basic Armor Repairer, and A Basic Shield Extender. But I had some other things or this is all I'm not sure lol. But it was a total of 17000 isk. And I got 25/1 and I faced a team of Proto users. Sooo much hate mail.

I dont know why, i migrate between this two such normaly.
Normaly it take aprox. two game to go "in" ;j
