Hello! I'm wondering something.
I'm thinking of putting my skill points into Gallente Scout/Assault. I'm wondering if this would be a good idea. I haven't played the game in a while, and with my new alt, I was wondering if they were any good.
I thought the Gallente Assault bonus would be good for the fact that Gallente weapons drop in accuracy and damage at longer ranges, so less kick and dispersion would make more shots hit, which will help me make the shots I fire count.
Gallente Scout is another thing I'm looking at, and I'm wondering about it because I enjoy hunting people (Scouts included), so I thought a Gallente Scout that has a bonus towards Scan Profile and Precision would be very good for that purpose.
Heavy and Logistics are almost completely out of the question until I max out both whatever Scout and Assault I choose.
Thanks for the help! |

Thanks for the help! Really it depends how you like to play, if you enjoy being fast but a bit squishier Gal scout is good. Personally I run Assualt in basically the same sort of hunter role just a little more hardened.
basically I would say try basic lvl of each and see how you like it

Both suits are in a very good place.
The Gal Scout is the master of dampening and has all the other EWAR advantages of a scout. Add a shotgun and some explosives and it becomes very powerful.
The Gal Assault is also in a good place. It's bonus isn't the best, but it's overcome by its flexibility and all those low slots (and a few highs for damage mods).
I would make the choice on which playstyle suits you. Sneaky shotgunner -- Gal Scout. More in your face assault with a rifle -- Gal Assault. |

In the end, I got both to proto. This alt has been in training for a long time. Even had some SP left over after core skills. |

Your choice in suit should relate to what you prefer playing as. A quiet assassin who wrecks havoc behind enemy lines or a juggernaut who flanks with appalling speed and indiscriminate fire. The choice is yours.

The Galassault bonus doesn't work like this. The reason for damage drop-off at range is because you directly get a damage reduction as range increases with Gallente weapons. Past 40m, your assault rifle will do reduced damage, even if you hit every shot perfectly.
Sometimes, one just has an overwhelming urge to throw a potato at someone.
