See like I said hard to understand to the simple minded but let me clear something up.
No one says "Hey I got a Combat rifle let me spec into Amarr assault so i can actually use it"
People say " I got Amarr assault and a Combat rifle, combat rifle has low cpu and pg requirements, so if i use it i will have more room to upgrade modules or equipment.
Or "Enemy team is using a lot of armor tanked suits but I only have Amarr assault let me throw a Combat rifle on it so I can take out these armor tankers a bit easier."

Assaults and commandos are the only specializations that get bonuses to their race's weapons (though the Gallente and Caldari assaults don't matter much), that means it is not dumb of anyone to fit a scout with another race's weapons. Until Gallente and Caldari assaults get useful bonuses like the Amarr and Minmatar assaults, there really isn't much reason to stick to your racial weapons.
A Gallente scout has no bonus to shotguns, so there is no real reason it would be a better choice over some other weapon the user prefers. Also, not using knives instead of a shotgun on a Gallente scout frees up your light weapon slot for a higher range weapon. I don't see a problem with a Amarr scout with a CR either, saves fitting space for perhaps important EWAR stuff; SCRs take up a lot of fitting resources.
Standard tanks don't have bonuses towards any particular turrets.
The point is we're mercenaries, not national soldiers, so unless bonuses are involved, there is no reason to try to make racially consistent fits.
While the Minmatar scout gets a bonus to knives, maybe the user only wanted it for the hack bonus, or perhaps the user is using both shotgun and knives since they occupy different slots (though admittedly that would be stupid).
As for logis, not every logi has the spare equipment slots to make sure you have nanohives. When I use my Amarr logi for example, I only have 2-3 slots instead of 3-4 like other logis, and I'm usually more concerned with putting down uplinks for my team. Not every logi shares the same role, so to think they should all be serving you nanohives is a bit odd to me.
No need for repair tool when your injector is prototype.
While I understand why you want injector carriers to carry repair tools to repair you after reviving you, I don't see you think repair tool carriers should all have injectors also.

There may be a way to attempt to max the stats you have. That doesn't mean people have to do that.
Maybe they just want to burn through some extra assets. Maybe they just like that gun. It doesn't matter why. Fitting diversity is a major part of this game.
What pisses me off are all the people upset that other people do not fit the way they want people to fit things, and demand that CCP force people to fit suits in a limited way.
I like seeing Sentinels using Assault Rifles. I like seeing Lgi's using Cloaks. I like seeing people being free to do as they wish. |

Humans are really awesome (sometimes) but also really stupids, take it or leave it.
I see ur point if saying that those are things that **** u.... But that's up to everyone, this kind of game let's u be however u want, armor tanking caldarians, badly shield tanking Gallentians, using or not using a certain thing, that is the way this kind of games are pretty funny in every aspect, it is because u can choose whatever u want in the way that u want, that's our reason to have fun, I have seen caldari ships (in Eve of course) Using lasers, vexors with autocannons etc etc and that's in a game that is by far better thought than what dust is right now.
When ccp reales all weapons all tanks all turrets etc.. They can focus this game into a level that maybe u can see minmatars using just minmatar stuff and that with every race in the game, of course that's something that I would specialise when the majority of its weapons are out. That would be awesome, but once again, if u played MAG, many players wanted ti use all the pmcs weapons, here in DUST, ccp can make it completely unique in its way to make something called "specialized".
Personally I don't really care what they are using right now because there are many things that indeed need a change, but everything will come into their correct time, ( or maybe it won't) nevertheless we can have fun with what we have :)

No, it is called never being able to balance the game because "creativity" causes some kind of unintentional FOTM exploit with a combination the devs did not consider or couldn't prevent by trying to balance otherwise.
Weapons should by themselves be close to crap. You either fit it with a racial role suit that makes it useful or fit a basic suit and a module that could improve the general efficiency of weapons. That way, you make a trade off, but can still be creative.

Show me this magical FOTM that can't be countered?
Only thing CCP Can't balance in the fitting window is lazyness and ignorance.
They can however teach people better in battle academy. Have better statistics and be more clear on the UI Displaying the data to the positives and negatives of the different items in the fitting window.
Or have better tutorials in place to teach players.
This is the creativity that is being discussed. CCP Expects players to be creative and figure out counters to the suit that just beat them last Match.
I Did this. Viktor did this.. Anyone that you learn to respect playing a pub does this..
They regroup and come back with something different.. Instead of continuing to run at a brick wall endlessly with the same fitting then blaming everyone else when it doesn't work.

I like using the weapon which the suit is intended or that is Race specific. I run All of my Amarr stuff with SCR rifles. I run (now) all of my Cal suits with RR, bar the sidearm, which is always a Bolt Pistol or a Flay lock pistol.

You have problems shooting Calscouts? I don't, I have problems with Amarr and Gallente scouts. (Takes no damage from 2 NK slashes and just instamelee. Also I once had a full health heavy get kill by 4k damage from a Amarr scout melee. My suit doesn't have that much. )

Needles should be -1 death. And no choice about being picked up when you die... anyone can pick you up. The clone belongs to the team and the victory chance, not the individual mercenary.
