So, I bought the X-MS Snowball Launcher BPO a few days back and I thought it would be fun to mess around with. I was wrong. Despite my attempts to bring holiday cheer to the battlefields of New Eden with shiny Snowballs from my newly purchased weapon of mass destruction ( ) the lack of damage in this weapon simply made me a target for shotgun shells (thanks scrooge's  ) which later resulted in me sniping at red dots for 2 days in order to get back my lost kdr  . I get that this weapon was pretty much intended to be a holiday joke, but if this weapon could at least deal a laughable amount of splash and/or direct damage per shot I could at least laugh as I go on a snowball killing spree. If this isn't happening then oh well, at least I'm getting better at sniping.

Yeah but it is also a very cheap (5,800 AUR) "No Skills Required" Weapon that's pretty much intended as a novelty... I just wanna kill people with snowballs because all of these serious mercs seem to lack holiday spirit.

Its things like this that make KDR a worthless metric.
It was just a 0.01 KDR loss. It took 2 days because I've been busy lately. Also, I like seeing the game from a diferent point of view for a change (Since I've been a cqc merc since I sarted playing. AR! ^(*-*)^). Headshoting moving mercs at 300+ meters away while listening to music and seeing them struggle to find you can be surprisingly fun.

No. I actually took the time to check it's stats before buying so I was aware that it was harmless before purchasing. I just really wanted a snowball launcher.

EDIT: I also hope that it leaves a snow trail that lasts for a while. I'd really like to cover some areas with snow. Especially Sentinel infested areas.

Then, can't there be a holiday event where all Mass Drivers have the Snowball effect and you get some sort of reward for each kill with an MD in PC? Though it's probably too late to be suggesting this...

Kinda' hard to troll people when they think that your aim just sucks and they rush you with shotguns.

I started out as a sniper in open beta, mainly because of how fun it was, so I know what it is like. My KDR wasn't great, but it was above 1. Then I realized since I played skirmish that a lot of times I wasn't even really helping my team, and knifing sounded more fun and I went that route. Back in 1.5 or 1.6. My KDR went downhill and I could not have cared less.
Funny you should bring up knives, i recently got them to prof. 3 myself. As for sniping, yeah it really doesn't help my team much when I do it. Except for this one match where the map's layout allowed me to snipe where I had a perfect view of the objective.

Why not a Plasma Cannon? The Arch in it is less than the MD's and that plasma projectile would probably make for larger fireworks.
