1.10 was just another patch of fluff with no fixes to the same performance and Core mechanic issues that has plagued DUST since it's launch into Uprising.
It sucks.
The worst patch however this game has ever seen is Uprising 1.4.
This is where CCP Gave us an Aim assist that no one asked for.
And the worst matchmaking system I have seen in my history of gaming... Scotty the matchmaker.
They slowed down straffing.. ... it was terrible..
DUST still has never recovered from the quality player base we had BEFORE 1.4. Aim assist pretty much has chased every quality FPS player looking for a challenge away.
We are left with a few players who got addicted to the game itself... And a bunch of people who drunk downloaded the game and didn't know what it was.... But Fuk it... It was free? lol.
DUST has amazing content.... I LOVE DUST's content. I generally enjoy the concepts.
But the core mechanics of DUST? Hit detection, Aiming system, Physics, Collision mechanics, Terrain, Frame rate drops ,Terrible laggy maps that are way to big for no reason.... We would need teams of 32vs32 to fill most of the maps...
DUST is a 3 million dollar house built on a $10,000 dollar foundation.
We can fill the house up with the nicest sh!t around.... It's still built on crap. |

You born recently? Or maybe your game selection or list of games you know about is very short.
But this conversation has been had thousands of times on these forums.
Not every Shooter in "Existence" has had aim Assist. Aim assist is a virtually new addition to FPS games.
Killzone:ShadowFall recently released on the PS4 for example has no Aim assist.
CS:GO on the PS3 and the Xbox360 has no aim assist... And both Mouse and keyboard and controllers playing together.. And it isn't an emulation either.
Even Grand Theft Auto 5's Competitive Deathmatches have Aim assist turned off.
Even Unreal Tournament... The very game to which the engine DUST is running on was built for ...had no Aim assist in competitive game modes.
I Can name games all day...
The biggest thing.... DUST had no Aim assist... And Everyone competed well.. Gun battles where fun... DUST was Fun.
No one could tell who was using what peripheral. Conversations all over DUST where taken place on an hourly basis "Do you use Mouse And Keyboard or controller, I Swear you Aim so good you use mouse.." "Nope a controller"
Before? You had someone's back? It wasn't an assured kill, Often they could turn around and engage in a nice fight....Now you see someone's back? They are dead in less then 2 seconds...before they can defend themselves... Killing someone has become un rewarding and boring. DUST now is boring in its self..
CCP Knew people would have no problem picking up a Mouse and Keyboard Emulator for 60 bux... And use a Mouse with Aim assist.. Like happens with every other Console based Shooter.
Instead CCP Balanced the peripherals and offered no advantage to buying a 60 dollar emulator or just plugging in the mouse and keyboard into the playstation.
Now? Mouse with an emulator is a Mouse with Aim assist helping it register bullets on target... Cool. Good job, People like you saved DUST with your defending of a mechanic that hurts the game for some made up bullshit about every shooter in the world needing aim assist.
YOU may need it.. DUST didn't.
Now we even have PC with Aim assist.... Sad.
