Honestly it was a fight against Carbon 7 way back in the day when they solely ran for Minmatar Faction Warfare on Manus Peak. This was long before LP was a consideration, back when loyalty meant something, and back when we all staked the pride of our corps on the line.
Was the Dust 514 parallel of the Battle of the Bulge or Kursk.
The battle when all was said and done cost me something like 5-9 Million ISK where I lost 4 tanks and Killed/Assisted 5. At all times we had 5+ tanks on the field, supported by AV, working with infantry constantly trying to leverage A point which swung back and forth between teams for the entire battle.
Was utterly the most enjoyable fight I've ever been in and the most challenging.
In the end of this one our squad of PIE Inc (the old Dust corp name) alongside the allies who were supporting us managed to get a tank on A after destroying the opposing HAV and massacred those trying to defend it against and infantry attack letting us ride the last few ticks of their armour with 2 points to 1.
The one battle that really sticks with me though is two Madrugars and a Gunnlogi vs two Gunnlogi and a two man Forge team. We had our brawl on the three way cross roads between A and C the two Carbon 7 Operators rolling down from B and holding the high ground with the two forge gunners up on the Plateau above C, while we rolled in from the redline, around the back of A and down into that flat area.
Pulled a pincer move on our lines and let us engage them before the AV even opened up.
Between the rear two HAV we managed to DPS down the Rail Gunnlogi, while the first tank was destroyed by the other Blaster Gunlogi and the two AVers.
All we did after that was track for we were side by side and moved forwards as the other Gunnlogi retreated after over heat his guns. We destroyed him and then attempted to snipe the remaining Sentinels.
I went down at this point, and Maikyl/? cleared the field of the two AVers and went to defend C from the rest of the infantry.
