The strongboxes themselves must be made of some sort of crazy super-material. Just the other day, I found an entire district in one of mine. Can I live in one of these things?

hehe, well we dont really know the size of these boxes now do we? I mean they're big enough to fit the parts needed to assemble a dropship, not nessiarily a fully assembled dropship, but also 30-ish rifles, dropsuits, etc. |

Maybe the strong boxes are Mini TARDISes.
In which case I need to open some of them up and turn my merc quarters into a mega mansion.

Well, if I can fit a Battleship in a container in EVEGǪ
IKEA is the shadow corp behind much of New Eden tech. Most everything is collapsible. You can do it in EVE. I'm sure it is happening in DUST it's on automatic rather than manual and largely unseen when it occurs.
