The hmg has not recieved a nerf, in like months...in irder to nerf the hmg you have to nerf the op dps, the heat changes still allow me to easily kill multiple opponents, no skill really.

So what's the point of being a stone that covers one objective.. The heat build up is important if u defend objectives, actually if u have many enemies infront that hmg will overheat really fast, the dps is ok, if not, what was the point of introducing heavy weapons in dust, u better remove sentinels and all heavy weapons, heavies always been a freaking problem since 3 years ago, they have lived between nerf and buff, lol I have no issues against them since that time, but looks like many of u always will complain, I want to see another nerf against them,

How about un buffing them by reducing thier rof by 100? They need some type of dps nerf, they are meant to hold objectives or defend, not instakill everything, my hmg never overheats no matter how many enemies I get, my only concern is ammo.

Couple this with scouts having to run 2 - 3 damps and shields being **** and the explosive resistance, the direct counter to heavies doesn't counter them anymore.

The damage and defense is fine nerf the god damn range heavy guns should not be able to kill the same distance of an AR.. We currently have heavies not scared at all to come out in the open because they can HMG people across the map... |

You know what's also sad? Armor heavies outclass caldari heavies (primary shield tanks), and jt may be somewhat viable solo, but most heavies have logi's anyways...still sad going toe to toe is...terrible.

Agree with the thing of cal and min sentinels, that aren't pretty good because of shield tanking,

No, explosive resistance should stay, helps against grenades too.
The only problem is armor stacking and the hmg...mostly the hmg.
Oh the mass driver needs a small buff, mostly the crappy assault variant.

All shotguns have hit detection issues.
I've been a scout since chromo, shotguns have had constant HD issues, every variant. Knives as well.
You also need two re's to kill a sent.
Scout can't counter heavies with their garbage HP and lack of fitting ability anymore.
I speak as a min scout who can't fit a kincat because I need two + damps so I'm not perma scanned.

yea the mass driver is in a very sad spot right now. the input lag makes it pointless in CQC.. most everything tanks 6 freedom shots backed by damage mods.
the problem with the MD, it's so underwhelming and has a ridiculous fitting cost applied to it as if it's some kind of powerful weapon again.
i gave up last night after 2 years of MD and skilled into ACR.. the input lag coupled with the fitting cost broke the camels back.

Heavies are fine in my opinion, they need some tweaks but they are litereally one step to become UP.
Some days ago I had a 1v1 against a cal assault cqc, he was using adv gear (dunno about modules tho) while I was using a proto calsent, he destroyed me with an arr in cqc so clearly either heavies are fine, he/she was mlg or I'm a living shame for all the heavies out there (cuz I mostly run scout, assault and logi lol)

MLT HMG does 620dps (vs shields) or 800+dps (vs armor) with zero skill investment and no damage mods. With proficiency and damage mods these numbers only get even higher.
HMG's are doing +50% to +100% more dps than quite a few light weapons, they're also on the suit with the most HP out there, the level of entry to be 'good' with a HMG heavy it's so low its incredible. your only 'counters' are instadeath weapons or weapons that have such huge alpha (scouts can get 3 shots off in under 1.5 seconds) that you cant really contest them. Compound this with map design that forces people into small enclosed corridors to capture points 9 times out of 10 and you've got the perfect combination for 'easy mode'.

Then again, walking around a corner and seeing 3 Proto Amarr Sentinels with 1344 Armor and Proto HMGs... being repped by 2 Proto Min Logis... you do wonder what an effective counter is.
There is way too many heavies now. And that really isn't helping. We need to teach people that eHP =/= More Survivable. On paper it is, yes, which is why I assume so many noobs run around with them but a skilled player will always win against a crap heavy.
Then again, there needs to be an effective counter CQC. Shotgun isnt good enough, Knives arent, REs were a little too easy so im glad theyve been scaled back.
Having more eHP and a insta-die gun isnt fair. But an effective counter (without full racial parity), no clue.

Sentinels are fine, nerfing them any further would create an imbalance between ADS vs. FG engagements. Not to mention the Caldari & Matari Sentinels would become worthless.
