Sure you can get officer weapons the old fashioned way, it just takes longer. You can go with strong boxes and earn keys by playing a lot, or you can support the game and pay for your keys. So really, you shouldn't be mad at Ccp not opening your boxes for you, you should be mad at yourself for getting used to being a freeloader for this long. :) stop being cheap and start putting money into this game, which you spend a lot of time on. Other boxes contain roughly 600-1100 aurum worth of random gear. Sad to say this, it mathematically is worth it. Morally, it's all about your stance on gambling.
