I think the point of the low resolution is bigger targets = larger hit box? some attempt at enlarging the strike zone? It wouldn't make him see you first, just easier to land shots because the game has to "register" what action it displays you doing....whatever that is, it's horrible. Can't even see last names
Edit: Anyone remember some Goldeneye action in DK mode? Old Schoooool |

Couple this with an SSD it was said to be a huge advantage.
That's pretty much it - your system had an easier time loading things up in SD over HD.

That's what I remember why people switch to sd over HD better hit detection. Which is pretty lame if they need an advantage like that to win. Just like people going out to get a ss drive so they can load in faster on dust. Wat scrubby players lol

Even if the client doesn't render the players position it does register it - so bullets will hurt you even if they can't see you because the system registers your position there and bullets headed your way.

SD helps if your TV sucks at displaying HD i.e has problems with input lag etc, but my TV doesn't, because it's decent. Chances are nobody playing in SD has actually experienced a problem in HD, they're just under the impression that muddy pixels will somehow help them.
If you have a decent HD TV like mine you will have no problem, check the stats on input lag and game mode before you buy the damned thing. Playing in SD makes things harder to spot, I haven't even attempted on a 50 inch screen. And god help Unreal Engine at any resolution with that rendering...
If the game is so bad that you have to put the PS3 into standard definition, then the game sucks.

Well watever lol. Back in the day when dust first came out I ran a ****** SD TV n once I finnaly switched to HD my gungame was so off took awhile to get back at it. So to me it felt like better hit detection

Hawkins can confirm this. He wanted to have our alliance members start playing with each other more often.
The match we were scheduled to play together ended up being your no show. So we went into our defence. Was fun. And a good game.

Balls or desire -- I suppose it's a matter of perspective -- or perhaps they simply can't field more than one team.
Either way, no biggie. We don't need any more districts, and the free ISK is always welcomed...although I'm sure we all would have preferred a fight -- we've had some good ones recently and that's what it's all about, no? |

Someone should really type up the etiquette of PC and get it stickied in the war room so people can keep up with what's considered cool or not.
When are ringers acceptable? When is stacking timers acceptable?
Those would be the first two I'd like to see a consensus on.

That would presume we knew at the time of the attack that RG was stacked.....which would be an incorrect assumption...and kind of ignores the observation that if we wanted to stack the timers to get a district, that's what we would have done.
But you know we're cooler than that, and it's no biggie, really. We were ready, and, like you said, RG had better things to do.
No need to make it into more than it was/is, Cuse, as all of us have no-showed when the situation dictates it....and I think it's safe to say that all of us would prefer our districts to be hard-won rather than no-shows. |

Some Facts; We didn't stack battles with Murphy's. The 2 battles did not even overlap. The battle with murphy (which went 20mins longer than they expected) was over 4-5 mins before we had boots on the ground. If they were fighting someone it wasn't TSO's, same was true for the Re-up.
Taking someone's district because they are busy with another fight is not something I do to corps I respect, and I'm not at war with.

Murphy's loves to come on and point out ringers as the reason they lost, then saying how they could win with ringers but they don't need ringers. Point remains anyway, random gunz have no rights to call people out for using ringers (alliance m8s overmore). Also outside of the fact that you are novelising the statements, they're also based on what a single person said, be him CEO or not. |

You just typed it up there. Its the war room after all. I think this is the first time you see someone from random gunz calling a corp out in the forums for useing ringers. Its not like we do that all the time. No need to be mad now. Viktor described it pretty well why the OP did it though. And to be honest, i personally dont like that this thread was made but it was not my decision. It is what is now. Get over it.

Do you remember when we use to attack you guys. Send only 200 clones. And bring 16 of our players and usually 5 of them were recruits and we would use those matches as training fights. We never re attacked you. Ever.
Now. You will use everyone available to take my districts. Never with 16 of your own players. And you have nerve to post anything on the forums? 1 week of your corp winning and taking matches and you chirp me and my corp?
I remember Dark Legion doing that when they had OH backing. The moment OH left we wiped them off the map.
I remember Espeon taking advantage of me being gone for 2 weeks and kept mass attacking us. I came back and concentrated on Bloodlines...even tho they locked and hid behind timers. ...we hunted him down and wiped them from the map.
When Random Guns becomes a power. And can field 16 of their own players in consecutive matches. And when they hold influence and are not being carried by allies or players paid... then you can come on here and call me out.
Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame and victory. They have been great fights.
