Shinobi MumyoSakanagare ZaShigurui wrote:This is not a condemnation of CCP because I understand businesses and there structure seeing as how I studied these things , nor am I complaining or trying to garner some sort of movement but just trying to understand if I'm just feeling this way or not and the fact that I actually care about Dust 514 and the well being of this game and it's participants that I make this or ask the question ... has it gotten to you ?
I play this game , not much because I don't have the free time that I had when I first found this and while playing and having to have to go threw the changes , not talking about how conditions are now but pre FF 2013 when things were prob in the beginning of what eventually lead up to the point were at now and things like vehicle designs were changed and you didn't have much of a selection in the dept of assault rifles and such and people weren't using RE's as grenades and you didn't see jihad jeepers , nether did you have a selection of heavies .
This game has changed in a short amount of time and I'm not complaining or saying that this went wrong but the implement of strong boxes and the fact that a key cost 800 aurum , is bothering me and taking away my feeling for playing this game .
I spend money like most of you and it just seems to be a moot point when most run around in fitted suits that while yes , they cost them real money ... they can fight and die 30 times and not have to pay a single ISK , I see them and I have to kill them but in my mind I just feel like it didn't even count and if I die I would be more likely to feel it and it's not a case of , " well get your own . " ... because there are those who have every fitting , all the load outs and BPO's including vehicle's , so it just not that simple .
It just seems to looses purpose and effects those who can't match that even a bit , or like I said ... " Maybe it's just me ." I just know that while I sit broke , these same people are racking in the ISK's hand over fist and if there opening strongboxes , there making even more of a killing and stretching the distance between themselves and the average players and it's not always instinct and skill that define this advantage .
It's just seeming like it's more about what's in your wallet then what's left on the field and that's what's bothering me at the moment .
I'm not trying to bash CCP like I said but it could get a little out of control if you allow it and right now it just seemed like too much was done without considerations to the changes in the environment .
I'm not knocking those who purchase BPO's but it does have an effect on the economy ( say that there's not one if you like but to me there is ) and it does matter when your faced against such .
Kind of makes the kills worthless because it's not effecting you like it does the whole economy .
If it's any consolation there are players out there that through district locking or farming the 500k isk on new characters have billions and billions of isk to run proto until the game shuts down, aside from the people who legitely grinded to fund proto forever as well... the isk economy is just ******, the only person you should worry about isk wise is yourself and just try to have fun, that's all we can do. |

I wasn't a huge fan of it then, still am not now.
I liked the way it was, some BPO's, everything else get's paid for. It fit the New Eden motif. Now, it's just "LULZ, the cost don't matter, INTO THE FIRE!"
I enjoyed killing the proto suits with a militia suit. I understand monetizing the BPOs to get money out of a F2P game, but if the BPO scenario we have now... if that becomes the entire gameplay... I don't know, I might stop playing.
The only one I think that would be arguably much of an issue is the apex suits which are obtainable by everyone albeit after grinding for a long time. I wouldn't consider STD and MLT bpos to be much of a deal which is everything but apex. I mean players can already use frontline suits which some of them are really good. |

Really what the game needs is intermediate play as pubs are becoming the grind house and a lot of people, myself included, don't care about PC. More game modes would be a plus. Yes and I like that about what they did because they could have just done crappy fits but they listened to what the people wanted and tailored it to that . That's a good thing but like I said , those kills just seem blank because my pocket is shrinking while there's is expanding . Only thing that's suffering is KDR .
I feel you on that, that's why I think the game just needs more content gameplay wise. More modes, hell they should bring back the old skirmish mode as that sounds pretty fun and they could always finish drone mode as I assume hopefully they at least had some assets developed for it, or their trailer was just CGI which is also possible. |

I wouldn't mind playing FW myself if it didn't take 10 minutes to get into a minmitar game and that's with a 6 man squad... I just end up getting dropped by scotty if I queue by myself. |

Respect is a forgone thing now a days .
I blame the internet .
And society .
It's the internet, I wouldn't have it any other way. For now, it's the last place in existence where one can be yourself without a nanny state berating you for voicing opinions, no matter how harsh. You and Eruditus don't get along, we all have people like that, just try to be civil or shout at each other, either works. Words are words anyways. |

He was talking about Earl Grey, earlier, so I assume it's that. I've not tried the brand personally. I know a lot of people who have, but it's not something I've ever gotten into.
Just for future reference, Earl Grey is a type of tea specifically black tea with bergamut (If that's spelled right) added. Me personally I get Twinings Green, Earl Grey, and Lady Grey (Black tea with citrus.) That's a brand name of tea Twinings. |

Maybe it's unrelated but I think about this, and the CPM votes, and I kinda get the impression that maybe the community just doesn't give a [kitten] about this game anymore.
I stopped caring about BPO's when CCP stopped caring about how much isk players could farm with locked districts and spamming new characters on multiple accounts. |

Yeah I like Irish Breakfast though admittedly I've never tried English breakfast. I thought Irish breakfast was a funny if not a stereotypical name for it since it's a very strong black tea. |

I do feel you on that it never really feels like I'm hurting anyone else's wallet but it's not because of BPO's at least not for me. The proto spam from people I know that have billions discourages me far more, lol. Working as intended. Can't have an economy where people won't amass stupid amounts of wealth. |
