BUT If the changes were needed than so be it.
Tried it yesterday, went 24/4 in my best battle with it. I don't feel like the change affected me in any significant way, just needed to reload a bit more.

That's the same exact observation I've made. The magazine size nerf has had practically no affect on my playstyle. So little of an effect, that I'd say the ammo count nerf has a larger effect. Basically, the ScR wasn't even nerfed... I'm just miffed that TacARs are better than ScRs now. It just seem absurd to me because of all the qqing people do about the ScR, but yet the community at large is fine with having an even more powerful weapon in the same role.
Well SCR still has more range, and charge shot, so I don't think its fair to say the tacAR is .
The charge shot is especially great for neutralizing threats fast before they can start doing damage to you. Also great for when you're about to die, you're hiding behind cover, and an enemy is closing in on you, you can change the course of the engagement in one shot.
