If I remember correctly it shoots beams of light.

Does it have recoil?
I was under the impression that the "recoil" was strictly visual.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

Not sure. Not only it has recoil. It has MORE recoil than other light weapons. The Breach AR, the CR....etc...

It has coolant that shoots up and down the barrel really fast giving recoil.
Also light has mass. If it is being dispensed fast enough we can see it in broad day light then I don't think having recoil is out of the question.

No.
It does not shoot neutron beams.
Its an electrolaser.
It fires a preliminary laser that turns a channel of the atmosphere into plasma, then uses the plasma to send a pulse of electricity through it because plasma is more conductive to electricity than atmosphere. Its a lightning gun.
So, it wouldnt actually have any noticeable recoil, realistically.

Sadly the scrambler shots have notable travel speed and trackable speed akin to the plasma rifle and rail rifle. Something light wouldn't have like the laser rifle would.

That's what that is for all the laser weapons. The plasma trail. You aren't seeing the actual light pass through the air, since that isn't how light works. Its traveling in one direction, and unless that direction is into your eyes, you aren't seeing the beam of light, only the plasma it creates as it heats the air it passes through.

Alright, I just got done spending an entire match shorting an ScR at various speed and in various different lighting conditions.
I can safely conclude that there is absolutely no visual travel speed for the bullet. A sterak just appears through the air and quickly fades away.

And when you shoot the ASCR, the light coming out of it comes out all wobbly (as I explained earlier), thus causing the recoil.

And Rail sniper rifles should have no problems hitting targets over several kilometers while lore wise our rail tanks should send objects hurtling several maps away while sending the turrets in the opposite direction. It's the same reason why gallente are not armor reppers and are instead identical to the Amarr currently. Because game balance. |
