So freind of mine was goofing off in a rookie frigate in high sec; locks onto a macheriel (which at the time was a 2billion isk battleship; 20 billion when fitted for speed (the sucker back then flew 14km/s faster than any interceptor) anyways fires a snowball at the guy.
Guy thought he was under attack and opens fire back at the rookie ship.
The NPC police didn't appreciate that and promptly removed the machriel pilot from his ship and procedded to destroy it.
The 'pirate' pilot got so mad he war decked my friend.
Who just happens to be running one of the best mercenary corps in the sector.

Funny thing is the snow ball launcher in eve does negative thermal damage :P

Okay here we go.
One snowy winter's day the all of the CONCORD signatories attended a picnic in Yulai.
The Empress in her usual swaggalascious fashion turned up fashionably late having just saved 300 orphans from a burning building, however she appeared before them all looking radiant.
Shakor was pissed and challenged the Empress to a duel to settle the conflict between their nations. In her usually peaceful fashion she declined instead suggesting that they engage in a friendly snowball fight. To counter his claims the Empress replied that
"It is typical the Matari feel the need to ineffectually posture about mighty fleets and fortresses....when all I need is a single snowball to tear is all down."
Shakor grunted like the savage he was
"Never!" he exclaimed.
After all words were exchanged President Roden drunk, and by far too interested in a female CONCORD office declared the battle under way.
In typical Minmatar fashion and without any regard for accuracy Shakor threw all of his snow balls at the Empress......however since he was devoid of sight he missed with every throw.
The Empress with limitless beauty and grace and with all the cunning of the wisest of Emperors approached Shakor and threw her snowball......in which was concealed a rock.
Shakor died quickly afterwards and everyone in the Empire lived happily every after.

Too expensive to keep breaking out against the tryhards in pubs. No fun allowed. :^( Anybody want to arrange a snowball fight in PC or FW?
On a related note, weren't the ones in Eve free and didn't they have only 1 PG/CPU consumption? Don't you think It a bit excessive that what should be fun items for the community are very pricey, require SP investment and use proto resources?
Also, where is my snow Plasma Cannon aaaaaand why do we even need these snow weapons when the Assault Swarm Launcher is just as effective?
