Keep the free version, the version everyone has now, where people can spend bits of money on aurum and other stuff if they want, but also add in the 'supporter' version of the game.
the "supporter' or whatever else you want to call it version of the game costs the same as a normal game, maybe $40-60 US, this gives players access to BPO packages you sometimes release, gives players 20 free encrypted keys a month, 1 active 7 day booster, 1 passive 7 day booster, 1 factional 7 day booster for every faction every month, and that market seller NPC.
Basically these people would be paying for the game as a full game, so of course their experience should be different than those who havent. Thats why they'd get the free stuff every month. Then if the players want to spend even more on the game, they can still purchase more aurum. |

Sarcasm?
I know they 'could' make more money, but will they? How many people will keep paying more money for this game than for a brand new game?
I know free games arent free, their development needs to be paid for somehow, and the company is seeking a profit, but at least games that arent 'free' have an honest price for what you get, and sure they all seem to have DLC that costs 'extra', some as early as day 1 release, while others just get the dlc later on, but almost never cost as much money as 'free' to play games.
I think dust can be better than the other petty free to play games. |

Other shooters have an upfront cost instead of a monthly fee.
Ok so maybe the free BPO's is a bit much.
1 free 7 day booster of active, passive, and every factional every month, 10 free encryptor keys every month, and the market npc. Then only a few select BPOs at first, and maybe they add a few BPOs over the course of some months to the package to make it more worthwhile as the game gets older.
the 'monthly' revenue should come from aurum sales for other stuff. |
