If we could have a proper battlefield commander with a nice UI on the battlefield map screen, able to issue orders and drop supplies and stuff then we would have an RTS element in dust.

3 phases.
Movement
Shooting
Assault
Troops, Special, Heavy Support, Elites, and Heroes.
E.G- Amarr FW 1000 Points
Heroes and Commanders
Amarr Palatinus "Maikyl Metsar" w/ Scrambler Rifle, Scrambler Pistol, Locus Grenades, Ak.0 Armour, and They Shall Know No Fear (Units within 12" in PIE Ground Control Channel pass all Ld checks ).
Elites
3 Amarr Commando's "Aero's Squad" With Assault Scrambler Rifles, Laser Rifles, and Nanite Injectors (+3 Ward Save)
Troops 4 Amarr Blue Berries w/ Fire Arms, Fodder (Loyalist units with unresolved wounds may opt once per game, during the shooting phase, to take a Fodder check. If successful all wounds are applied and resolved against the Blue Berries) and Lack All Tactical Sense ( unit automatically fails all Ld checks)
6 Amarrian Loyalists "T12's Squad" w/ Scrambler Rifles, Locus Grenades, Ak.0 Armour, Logistics,WTF (all deaths are responded to with expletives and many denials of their oppositions skill) and Loyalism (units are not subject to the Instant Death rule)
Fast Attack
Murder Taxi Saga II w/ enhanced Shield Hardener and Blood on the Wind-shield (unit must move a minimum of 12" towards the nearest enemy unit and must always declare a Charge during the Assault Phase)
Heavy Support
Gunnlogi "True Adamance" w/ Heavy Shields, Shield Hardeners, Xt-201, Unbreakable (Penetrating hits are reduced to Glancing Hits), Laud Hailers (enemy units within 12" suffer -1 to Ld for the purpose of Tank Shock checks), and Hatred of Blood Raiders (unit must always target a Blood Raider unit within line of sight.).
Total Points = 989 Points
