As grand marshal of the Federal Marine forces, I declare all Caldari tech is fair play for Gallente loyalists who have only been using Gallente weapons, dropsuits, vehicles, turrets, and equipment.
If you would like reasons, here are a few good ones.
#1. Caldari used to belong to the Gallente Federation before they started their southern war of aggression. The tech they use basically used to belong to us anyways.
#2. Federal ground troops conquered all but 3 Caldari planetary districts in FW before CCP started holding their hand, which means they effectively had lost the war anyways.
#3. No matter how much CCP wants to say it, Caldari lost the Caldari Prime event so hard they basically should surrender and rejoin the Federation.
#4. CCP hasnt given us a Gallente Heavy Weapon or SMG yet, so why not just embrace the Magsec and Forge Gun and other stuff. |

You honestly have very little to brag about, I see no large force, no unwavering front line, all I see is a bunch a people scattering to not have their shotgun shot killed.
If Caldari lost the war back then I would be happy as then I was foolish, I did not see who I fought for or why.

I'll give a proper reason.
Having your battle doctrine rely on the enemy always being in CQC is just plain ridiculous.
What happens when your opponents are really far away in an open field?
You pack your bags and go away?
He was right about the tech, somewhat.
Gallente and Caldari were once part of the same body, and a lot of technology was co-developed, including warp tech.
That's why both factions use hybrid weaponry.
The Gallente use both rails and blasters, hence it's perfectly fine for Gallente to use Rail tech in DUST.
Gal Assault even had a bonus that applied to all hybrid assets at one point, not just Plasma weaponry.

When im done bashing in the head of a Caldari forgegunner with the butt of my rifle, ill take his Magsec, pull the bolt back, and use it to take out his logi hiding in the corner hoping I wouldn't see him.
if anything, you should declare the war mostly over and the "mop up" operation underway. The Caldari no longer pose a threat, just scattered pockets of token resistance. |

Arguably the Military Blockade of Caldari Prime sparked the act or terrorism.....which was sparked by the discovery of military colonies, which was sparked by the Federation levying productive Caldari worlds to fund less productive and in their eyes deserving worlds...... and so on.....

The invasion of Luminaire VII was not expected because CONCORD and a number of treaties were in place. I suppose it is in keeping with the character of a terrorist state to disregard peace treaties, but it did not seem to be a sane military goal to attempt to take a sovereign Gallente world with a vast majority Gallente population that had not been Caldari in centuries. Indeed, it ultimately led to the destruction of the entire supercapital fleet sent to secure it.
It always perplexes me that you insist on having the planet. The population certainly doesn't want you - they were all rising up even before your fleet got crushed.
Is it special because it was your homeworld? Perhaps if you expect others to respect that, you should respect their own homeworlds.
When you came across the Achura, you occupied their homeworld and razed their monasteries for your mining sites.
When you occupied the Intaki homeworld, you auctioned the planet so it could be strip-mined. Hilariously arrogant given that you didn't have a prayer of keeping control, but symbolic nonetheless.

Not quite, but to some extent I do agree. Sympathetic though I am to their goals, the Elder Fleet attacking CONCORD directly was an act I certainly do condemn.
The Amarrians hardly have a moral leg to stand on, though, given their inclination towards slavery.

Agreed. The Amarrians need new weaponry more than anyone else. I believe Rattati is working on both the Amarrian and Gallentean heavy weapons, though. I'm particularly excited for the trello concept of the Gallente weapon - a plasma flamethrower is everything I've always wanted.
