If you would like reasons, here are a few good ones.
My reasoning is that once Ive defeated a group of State "peacekeepers" (lol), its my duty to appropriate their weapons to make sure no wayward Caldari deserters can arm themselves. When im done bashing in the head of a Caldari forgegunner with the butt of my rifle, ill take his Magsec, pull the bolt back, and use it to take out his logi hiding in the corner hoping I wouldn't see him. if anything, you should declare the war mostly over and the "mop up" operation underway. The Caldari no longer pose a threat, just scattered pockets of token resistance.
